How to Craft Explosive Powder in The Planet Crafter

Obtaining this item won't be that annoying.

Explosive Powder is a reagent (resource) that you will often see in the mid-to-late game crafting recipes in The Planet Crafter. If you are having trouble finding or crafting the Explosive Powder, I’ll be very glad to provide clarifications on how you can craft this very necessary item.

How to Make Explosive Powder in The Planet Crafter

The recipe for crafting Explosive Powder is very simple. You need just 2 Sulfur and 1 Iridium. You will be able to craft Explosive Powder within the Biolab. If you do not have the Biolab unlocked, I can help you:

When your Biomass surpasses 865g, Biolab will be unlocked automatically (you will get a notification in the middle of the bottom edge of your screen). You can increase your Biomass by making a “Grass Spreader” under the Biomass in the Construction menu. Grass Spreader is unlocked by increasing your Oxygen level (you’ll also be notified when it’s unlocked).

The recipe for Grass Spreader is:

  • 2x Water bottle.
  • 1x Magnesium.
  • 1x Aluminum.
  • 1x Lirma Seed.

Once you unlock the Biolab, you will need to gather the following resources to build it from the Base Building section:

  • 2x Osmium.
  • 3x Super Alloy.
  • 1x Aluminum.

You can connect the Biolab with the rest of your quarters, or you can build a separate building. After your building is done, come inside and jump behind the screen to start crafting.

Where Can You Find Super Alloy and Aluminum in The Planet Crafter?

Super Alloy is a craftable resource, but you’ll probably never need to resort to such an action. You can craft it at the Advanced Craft Station by combining these elements:

  • 1x Cobalt.
  • 1x Iron.
  • 1x Magnesium.
  • 1x Silicon.
  • 1x Titanium.
  • 1x Aluminum.

Realistically speaking, you’ll get plenty of Super Alloy by opening various Containers across the world. There is, however, one great spot for farming Super Alloy that I can recommend to you. It’s around 1528,51,669. You need to go north of your starting base into the weird stone structure that consists of many narrow corridors resembling a maze. There’s an easy way to climb on top right at the abandoned facility in the middle, and you’ll be able to farm many Super Alloys there.

Aluminum is present in many areas, but my favorite one is the area where I found Osmium (linked earlier in the article). It’s close to your starting area, so it’s a good spot.

What is Explosive Powder Used for in The Planet Crafter?

Explosive Powder is a key component for many important late-game crafts, such as Shredder Machine, T2 Nuclear Reactor, T3 Agility Boots, and T3 Jetpack. Luckily, you won’t need many of them.

I hope this guide was helpful, and I invite you to jump into our Planet Crafter game hub. There, you’ll find useful guides such as how to find secret bunkers in the game.
