How to Get Fabric in The Planet Crafter

The fabric... of reality.

Fabric is one of the most important mid-game resources in the Planet Crafter, and if you are struggling to get your hands on some rags like I was, you’ll enjoy this read because I’ve gone above and beyond to explore the world and find a farming spot for Fabric.

Where to Find Fabric in The Planet Crafter

Fabric can be found in various blue containers that are scattered around the world. Most of the time, you will find these blue containers within abandoned spaceships and facilities or buried in the sand randomly, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, so keep your eyes peeled while exploring the world. Here are some of the coordinates that will help you get started with your Fabric farming.

If you do not have a compass and a map, I’ll show you the basic orientation because everyone spawns in the same spot in this game:

  • To the east, there is a semi-narrow ravine through which you can pass.
  • To the south, there’s a mountain and nothing much else.
  • To the west, there’s an abandoned ship visible from a distance.
  • To the north, there’s a vast desert, one more abandoned ship, and a stone structure that might remind you of Stonehenge.

Also, you have coordinates: the three numbers in the bottom-left corner of your screen. These are the X, Y, and Z values. X is the value between the left and right edges of the map, Z is the value between the top and bottom edges of the map, and Y is the height you’re on.

  1. If you head out east, around 442:11:-177, there is a series of abandoned objects where you can look for Fabric.
  2. If you head out west, at 307:148:997, you will find the closest spaceship to your home base, which you can explore for many resources, not just Fabric.
  3. If you head out northeast of your base, at 911:29:47, you will find a small abandoned spacecraft with many blue containers. In fact, that entire area has a dark blue tint!
  4. If you head out north of your base, at 1534:50:556, You will see a small abandoned facility that harbors many blue containers. Check every corner!
  5. If you head out north, you will also see another abandoned ship slightly to the left.

These locations should be sufficient for you to start with. After all, Fabric is not an item you will need *a lot* unless you’re keen on building various furniture items.

Can You Craft Fabric in The Planet Crafter

In Construction, you will unlock a Biomass section in the late game (as you naturally progress), which will harbor a construction called “Silk Generator,” which is made by combining the following resources:

  • 3x Silk Worm
  • 1x Zeolite
  • 1x Water Bottle
  • 1x Oxygen Capsule

After you construct the Silk Generator, you will be able to get pieces of Silk, and then, in the Biolab crafting station, you will be able to craft a Fabric by combining two pieces of Silk.

This is a late-game craft, and I (so far) have not had any issues using just the Fabric I found in the wild. But it’s good to know that there’s a way for you to produce Fabric on your own in Planet Crafter.

That’s all about this guide. You can always visit our Planet Crafter game hub, where you’ll find more guides such as how to find secret bunkers.
