Here's how to kill the Scrying Eye in BG3 in the easiest ways possible.

Whether you’re in the Goblin Camp, Grymforge, or Moonrise, dealing with Scrying Eyes can be a pain. They’re resistant to almost all damage types and they even have damage reduction. Still, there are a few ways to deal with them easily, so here’s how to kill Scrying Eye in BG3.

If you want to kill the Scrying Eye in BG3 quickly and without alerting enemies, I would make sure there’s no one around and then try one of these methods:

  • You can Throw it into any chasm for an insta-kill. You need high Strength for this so I would recommend trying this with Karlach, Halsin, Lae’Zel, or your Tav if they’re a Strength build.
  • You can Shove it into any chasm for an insta-kill. You just need to make sure it’s near a ledge so I suggest going into Turn-Based mode when you’re ready.
  • The Scrying Eye is Vulnerable to Thunder damage, meaning it takes double damage from spells like Chromatic Orb (Thunder), Shatter, Thunderwave, etc. All three of these spells can insta-kill the Scrying Eye.

Outside of Force and Thunder, the Scrying Eye takes either half damage or is Immune to all other damage types. Furthermore, on Tactician, the Eye has an Ethereal Form, which reduces all damage by 8. This means that to reduce its HP, your damage roll needs to be a minimum of 17. The explanation is that 16 halves to 8 because of Resistance, and then it is reduced to 0 due to the Ethereal Form. Dealing 17 damage to it will actually deal only 1, and then it increases from there.

That’s why I would recommend one of the three methods above or trying to kill it with incredibly high damage rolls like from Sneak Attack. You can also use damage types the Eye is not resistant to, like Force.

That concludes my guide on how to kill Scrying Eye in BG3 without alerting enemies. For more Baldur’s Gate 3 guides, check out how to beat Ragzlin, Minthara, and Gut or our top 10 best arrows in the game.
