Copper is one of the most important materials in LEGO Fortnite, used in weapon upgrades and building materials. Our guide will provide you with tips on how to get copper and copper bars, including related crafting recipes.
How to Get Copper in LEGO Fortnite
You can find Copper ore inside the extremely hot Lava Caves. I was able to locate these deep inside the Dry Valley biome. Look out for mounds of dirt and rock on the ground, as they won’t show up on your mini-map the same way as they’re marked in the Grasslands biome.
Lava Caves are extremely hot, and you must be prepared to enter them with some of the following heat-resistant materials if you want to survive and not get burned to a crisp:
- Snowberry Milkshake.
- Raw Snow Berries.
- Cool-Headed Charm.
Copper ore typically spawns in the upper parts of these Lava Caves. These ore deposits have a dark-brown color, setting them apart from the brightly glowing Brightcore. I was able to mine these rocks with a uncommon pickaxe.
How to Use Copper
On its own, Copper ore is used to enhance the damage and durability of your weapons. It also allows you to add some abilities to them. But you can also use it to make Copper Bars, which are highly valuable. However, you’ll need the Metal Smelter to make them. Once you’ve unlocked the Metal Smelter, use the following recipe to make Copper Bars:
- 1 Copper Ore
- 2 Brightcores
The most valuable item you can craft using Copper Bars is the Oven workstation, using the following recipe:
- 8 Brightcore
- 15 Copper Bar
- 35 Obsidian Slab
If you have an abundance of Copper Bars, I highly recommend using them for building Copper Floors, Copper Walls, and Copper Roof for your shelter, which are far stronger than any other materials in the game and can protect your shelter and stations from mobs (that is, unless they glitch through the walls).
