Lord of the Rings Return to Moria How to Get Leather

How to Craft and Find Leather in Lord of the Rings Return to Moria

While Leather can be gathered from stronger enemies, it might be easier for you to craft first. Especially since you might have a stockpile of Hide or Hide Scraps to work with.

How to Craft Leather

Much like Hides, Leather can be crafted at the Loom, which you can either find and repair or craft yourself. To craft a Loom, you’ll need:

  • x24 Ubâsam Wood
  • x3 Silver Ingots
  • x6 Cloth Scraps

Once you have a Loom, you can also craft Hides if you don’t have any. A Hide is made using three Hide Scraps and one Resin. But before you make Leather, you need to gather Salt. Salt is mined in the Lower Depths using the First Age Pickaxe. You need three Salt for each piece of Leather you want to craft. This makes the full recipe for Leather into:

  • x3 Salt
  • x1 Hide

How to Find Leather

If you don’t want to craft Leather, it also drops from larger animals like Wargs, which you can begin finding after reaching Dwarrowdelf. However, this material might be one that’s easier to craft than to gather. You’ll do a lot of preparation before you can make the Loom and grab the Salt, but the Hide Scraps and Hide are both rather easy to get even early in the game. So, you might have plenty stored and ready to be turned into Leather.

And that covers how to get Leather in Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. Once you have Leather, you can start crafting recipes like the Brewskin. But from here, check out our LotRRM guide hub for more topics like how to make an Iron Sword or our complete guide to farming.
