Pitcher Pods serve as the seeds for Pitcher Plants and can be placed on village farmland to grow. The only way to get Pitcher Pods is to make a Sniffer dig up dirt. This action has a chance of dropping a Pitcher Pod once your Sniffer’s done digging. Read my guide on where to find Sniffers if you’re unsure how to come across these creatures.

Note that Sniffers can dig only certain types of blocks, resulting in dropping the Pitcher Pods, including:

  • Dirt Blocks
  • Grass Blocks
  • Podzol Blocks
  • Coarse Dirt Blocks
  • Rooted Dirt Blocks
  • Moss Blocks
  • Mud Blocks
  • Muddy Mangrove Roots

  • Feed Pitcher Pods to a couple of adult chickens for breeding (only in Bedrock Edition).
  • Feed Pitcher Pods to small chicks for a 10% growth boost (only in Bedrock Edition).
  • Feed Pitcher Pods to Parrots for the purpose of taming (only in Bedrock Edition).
