Palworld: How to Get and Use Pal Souls

Make your Pals stronger by using Pal Souls. Here's how to use them.

There are plenty of different ways to make your Pals stronger. They can gain EXP through battles, helping you craft, or by collecting resources. However, there’s a simple way to boost your desired stats. Here, I’ll show you how to get and use Pal Souls in Palworld.

The Best Place to Find Pal Souls in Palworld

Pal Souls are a rare item that can permanently buff any Pal stat. These are extremely helpful items, so you’ll want to grab them whenever possible. However, Pal Souls can be found in Gold Chests scattered around the world. They don’t drop from Pals, oddly enough, and they can’t be found as boss drops.

My best advice is to stay vigilant as you explore. Look for the golden glow of chests as you gather resources and hunt Pals. They can appear in the wild, in dungeons, and in plenty of other places. Though I was able to get my first Pal Soul after finding my third Gold Chest, Pal Souls don’t always appear in chests.

How to Get Pals Souls From Pals

It’s also possible to get Pal Souls from defeating certain Pals as well. However, it’s not a guaranteed drop. Here’s a list of all the Pals that can give you Pal Souls when captured or defeated:

  • Daydream: Small Pal Soul
  • Nox: Small Pal Soul
  • Cawgnito: Small Pal Soul
  • Maraith: Small Pal Soul
  • Tombat: Small Pal Soul
  • Felbat: Small Pal Soul
  • Helzepher: Medium Pal Soul
  • Anubis: Large Pal Soul

Small Pal Souls can also be found on the ground while traveling. I don’t recommend it for farming Pal Souls since drops are rare. I’ve only found two in the wild this way.

How to Use Pal Souls

Before using Pal Souls, you must build a Statue of Power first. To build the Statue of Power, reach Level 8 and spend Technology Points to unlock the recipe. It requires x20 Stone and x10 Paldium Fragments.

Now that you have your Statue of Power, you can finally use your Pal Souls. Interact with the statue and select which Pal you want to use the Pal Souls on. Then select which stat you want to permanently buff. Depending on the size of the Pal Soul, you’ll get a larger buff. This buff can’t be undone. Choose carefully.
