Palworld: How to Get Paldium Fragments

Here's how to get Paldium Fragments so you can make Pal Spheres and a Pal Box in Palworld.

How to Find Paldium Fragments in Palworld

Palworld quickly tells you to find some Paldium Fragments, but how to get them isn’t obvious. You can’t find Paldium Fragments on the ground like Wood and Stone. Instead, you must hit mining nodes with a Pickaxe to get them.

You won’t mine on your own for long. Soon after you get your first portions of Paldium Fragments, find a Cattiva to do some mining for you. Cattiva starts with Level 1 Mining, and can gather from ore nodes while you do other things. Luckily, this is a very common Pal. Look for its bright pink body and yellow tummy.

How to Make a Pickaxe in Palworld

You need a Pickaxe to gather ore nodes in Palworld. The first tier is the Stone Pickaxe. You can’t make a Pickaxe from the default crafting menu (B key on keyboard), though. You must make a Primitive Workbench first for two Wood.

Interact with the Primitive Workbench after building it to open up its crafting options. Craft a Stone Pickaxe with 5 Stone and 5 Wood. With your new tool in hand, look for your Paldium fragments.

Stone gathering nodes have a chance of dropping Paldium Fragments when mined, so start on those. However, once you start looking around, you’ll find Paldium nodes. Paldium nodes look far different from Stone nodes: they spark.

Keep your eyes open for Paldium nodes, and send your Cattiva to mine from them once you’ve added this early game Pal to your collection. That’s it for how to get Paldium Fragments in Palworld.
