Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) — How to Unlock Tobio’s Hollow Chasm

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Tobio’s Hollow Chasm is hidden behind the mysterious Zonai locks, proving to be harder to find than some others. Our guide will provide you with tips on how to unlock Tobio’s Hollow Chasm in TotK.

How to Unlock Tobio’s Hollow Chasm in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Step 1: Speak to Paya

The very first thing you need to do is speak to Paya at Kakariko village to start the “Secret of the Ring Ruins” quest. At this point, I would travel to the Ring Ruins located to the east of the village at coordinates 1815, -0952, 0113.

Once you’re at the ruins, you need to climb to the very top, and make a photo, using your Camera ability of the runes up top. Then go back to Paya, and tell her about your progress.

Step 2: Speak to Calip

After speaking to Paya, you need to travel to the Popla Foothills to the south of village and speak to Calip at coordinates 0602, -2118, 0098. He’ll ask you to collect three pieces of Charged Armor, which you can find at the following locations:

• Charged Shirt at Dracozu Lake (1001, -2538, 0013)
• Charged Trousers at Dracozu River (0952, -2705, 0012)
• Charged Headdress at Dracozu River (0979, -2827, 0012)

I suggest following our guide on how to get Charged Armor set for more details. Lastly, you need to place a Zonai Charge into the crypt at the same area located at coordinates 0651, -2730, 0019. Make sure that you’re wearing the full Charged Armor set.

Step 3: Travel to Joku-U Shrine

Lastly, you need to travel to the Dragonhead Island located in the Faron Grasslands Sky to the south of the Great Sky Island at coordinates 1376, -3340, 0443. I marked the location with the red square on the map above for you.

Enter the Joku-u Shrine on the Dragonhead Island and cut down the vines to reveal the charged door. Remove all iron gear and weapons from Link, and make sure that you have at least 10 hearts. Then, follow these steps to complete the quest:

1. Interact with the charged door.
2. Pick up a Zonai relic from the altar.
3. Build a flying Zonai device.
4. Place the Zonai relic onto your device and follow the light.
5. Place the Zonai relic onto the empty altar.

Once this is done, the Tobio’s Hollow Chasm will be revealed in front of you. It’s the location to the east of Dracozu Lake at coordinates 1305, -2397, 0062.
