Here's our guide to help you get the Charged Armor Set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Charged Armor Set gives you a particular quirk whenever there’s a thunderstorm. However, you’ll need to acquire each piece in the ruins of a temple complex. Here’s our guide to help you get the Charged Armor Set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to Find the Charged Armor Set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Charged Armor Set consists of the Charged Shirt, Charged Trousers, and Charged Headdress. Although you might be tempted to find them early on, I suggest progressing further in the campaign. That’s because one particular late-game main quest, which I won’t spoil here, will task you with collecting all three items anyway.

To get the TotK Charged Armor Set, you’ll have to travel all the way south, to the region of Faron. Just past the Jiukoum Shrine, you’ll see the serpent-like Dracozu River. The quest’s objective tells you to collect all items along the river, which just so happen to be the pieces of this armor set.

The smaller temple ruins here contain chests, which you can freely open once you enter the ruins for each. Here are the armor pieces and their coordinates:

  • Charged Shirt: 0986, -2535, 0008.
  • Charged Trousers: 0974, -2694, 0008
  • Charged Headdress: 0972, -2806, 0007.

The only dangers here are the enemies that tend to use shock-based attacks or shock-infused projectiles. My advice is to avoid wading into the water unless you can’t help it, as there’s a higher chance of getting electrocuted by enemy attacks while picking up the pieces.

Charged Armor Set Stats

Each piece of the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Charged Armor Set grants +3 defense (for a total of +9 if you’re wearing the full set). Moreover, the passive lets the items generate electricity during thunderstorms.

I’m sure you’ll agree that the passive is a bit situational. Still, once you’ve acquired all the items, equip them and head to the southwestern tip of the river (i.e., the serpent river’s tail). You’ll be granted access to the last ruins, which will let you advance this particular quest.

That’s how to get the Charged Armor set in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. There’s so much more to find throughout Hyrule and its various regions, so be sure to visit our Zelda: TotK guides hub for more tips, strategies, and walkthroughs.
