3rd Annual Dragon Slayer Award NOMINATIONS Now Open! Round 2

Time to flex your gamer voice and nominate your favorites for this years Dragon Slayer Awards. Who will be on the final ballot?

It's that time again - time for the 3rd Annual Dragon Slayer Awards, presented by Guild Launch!

This is Round 2 of nominations - categories 5-8. If you missed round 1, head over here to add your choices!

What are the Dragon Slayer Awards?

This ain't your "normal" 'only famous people and big name companies/games win' awards show. The Dragon Slayer Awards are 100% gamer nominated and gamer voted. They focus on community managers, community builders and, most importantly, the community members (yes, we mean you) of gaming.

How does it work?

Each week we are opening nominations for 4 of our 12 categories (final round of categories to be added next week).  Select your nomination or add one to the "other" field. Once we have compiled all the nominations the real fun begins - VOTING!

Voting runs from mid July, 2014 through September 1st, 2014.

Why should you nominate (and then vote)?

Because you care - ok maybe you don't, but gosh darn it we need you to. The underdog needs you to. The unsung hero who is always there for his/her community but never gets recognized needs you to.

So what are you waiting for? Nominate your favorites!

**Reminder: this is NOT voting - below you are NOMINATING your favorites for these 4 categories - more to come next week. VOTING will began mid July.

Want to see how last year's awards shook out? Then check out the awards show video below.

**Spoiler alert, it may include a teeny-tiny Oculus Rift, and Total Biscuit may, or may not, turn himself into a shark.

Pretty epic right? Ok then why are you reading this and not making your nominations? Do it now. *Highfive* if you done already done did it.

Voted for Felicia Day because I'm totally diggin' Supernatural right now

You've got to be kidding me.. Right?

She is cancer to the streaming community, the true definition of a cam wh***
I sincerely hope you vote with the right head.

Voted for Wil Wheaton because he is a great guy and does many very cool projects. I didn't know enough Kickstarters or Streamers for a fair vote but i think the best promo effort goes to Wildstar. They did a great job at the game and showing it off in a fair way. It also improved on enough things to finally bring some serious competition to King WoW. (Do not use the word WoW-Killer, it's cursed.)

    "Best Promotional Effort"?

Is that like "Most Money Spent on Marketing"?
  • BegginBlue
I think they rather meant who did the best promotion, You know, maybe Dev-Podcasts, free Beta-access, good and open showcasing of the full game. Fair and open treatment of the consumers.

Agreed, I voted for WildStar there because they really did fulfill all of those you described and then some.
