Stranded Deep follows in a long line of survival games such as The Forest, Raft, and Subnautica. It takes place in the Pacific Ocean, where players find themselves on a procedurally-generated island following a plane crash. Though each island is different, the gameplay loop is the same: survive.
Players will start with the bare essentials, scavenging their island and the surrounding waters for crafting supplies and other survival items. Of course, it's not just hunger, thirst, and the elements they'll face as they gather supplies to make fire, shelter, and ultimately, weapons. Deadly predators such as great white sharks and moray eels stalk the waters, and poisonous snakes crawl across the land. The island is out for blood, and it will have it if players aren't careful.
Stranded Deep originally released in Steam Early Access in 2015. It released on the PS4 and Xbox One in 2020.
