Alan Wake 2: How to Open the Coffee World Cult Stash

You'll need a key to open the Coffee World cult stash in Alan Wake 2. Here's where to find it.

When you’re playing as Saga, you’ll come across a number of cult stashes hidden around Bright Falls, Cauldron Lake, and Watery. However, they’re always locked and some are trickier than others to open, so here’s how to open the Coffee World stash in Alan Wake 2.

Where to Find the Coffee World Cult Stash in Alan Wake 2

During Return Chapter 3: Local Girl, you’ll head to Watery as Saga when a cryptic manuscript page leads you there. Coffee World is Watery’s main attraction, and you need to cross through it before you can visit the Trailer Park and Kalevala Knight’s Workshop

The Coffee World Cult Stash is located behind the Huotari Well, near Espresso Express and the locked gate leading to the Workshop. The tree it’s by is marked with a triangular cultist symbol. When I discovered it, I immediately tried to use the screwdriver I just found. But of course, it’s never that easy. Instead, you’ll have to find a key that the cultists hid somewhere in the amusement park.

The stash’s hint is, “What hides behind that smile?” There’s also a hand-drawn illustration of Coffee World’s big smiling Mr. Drippy, who looks like an extra-large coffee maker carafe, at least to me. His face is all over the park. But there’s an oversized statue near the gazebo that matches the drawing.

Head back to the gazebo, which is south of the Gift Shop. Be wary of any Taken. I had to fight two when I reached the area. Once you’re there, go behind Mr. Drippy, and you’ll see a key on the ground. Grab it and head back to the stash.

Why You Should Open Cult Stashes in Alan Wake 2

It might seem tedious to go hunting for cult stashes, but they’re more important than they initially seem. Not only can you get more ammo, trauma pads, and other useful supplies, but you might also find extra inventory upgrades in select stashes. Trust me, you’ll want more inventory the further you get into the game, especially when you start grabbing large weapons like the crossbow or the hunting rifle.
