Knocking down your enemies and denying pushes from the enemy team won't be an issue with the best Greystone build in Predecessor

Greystone is an excellent Offlaner in Predecessor, and there are many reasons for it. Besides being a beginner-friendly character for gamers new to the MOBA genre, he has a lot of potential in the late-to-end game stages of a match, but only if you choose the right items to counter your enemies. So, get ready to take notes and adopt the best Greystone build in Predecessor.

Predecessor: Best Greystone Build

Greystone is effective for initiating a lane push, and its abilities make it valuable for staying in the fight and finishing off enemies if they try to escape. Unlike our Drongo Build, this Greystone Build will focus on enhancing the character’s health, magical armor, physical armor, health regeneration, and physical power.

Fenix

The Warrior Crest is the first item on our build, and it will help you at the early stages of the game, granting Greystone +6 Physical Power, improving his DPS overall as the character’s abilities only scale with physical damage. In Predecessor, Crests evolve throughout the match. The Warrior Crest will become the Champion’s Crest, and later, you’ll turn it into the Fenix. An item that will grant Greystone the following stats:

  • +15 Physical Power
  • +150 Max Health
  • Rebirth (210-second Cooldown): Mark your current location for four seconds. If you die, resurrect at the Mark with your Health and Mana set to 40%
  • Creep Slayer: Deal 30 Damage to Minions On-Hit
  • Cost: Free

Overlord

Overlord will improve Greystone’s physical damage and increase his health, with a few bonus features helping you gain extra physical power and damage.

  • +30 Physical Power.
  • +400 Health
  • Colossal Cleave (on successful basic Attack): Deal (+2.5% max health) damage in an area around the target
  • Bludgeon: Gain (2.5% Max health) Physical Power
  • Cost: 2,900

Colossal Cleave and Bludgeon will be useful with the following items, as they will improve Greystone’s health even more.

Basilisk

Basilisk will increase your health and physical power and even decrease abilities’ cooldowns. This helps your teammates as well since you’ll get to use your abilities more often.

  • +40 Physical Power
  • +350 Health
  • +15 Ability Haste
  • Corrode: Reduce an enemy’s physical armor by 4% for 3 seconds, stacking the effect up to 6 times. At 6 stacks, they become Eroded
  • Eminence: When attacking Eroded Heroes, deal 4% of the target’s missing health as damage
  • Cost: 3,100

Basilisk will help Greystone deal meaningful damage in team fights, taking advantage of its abilities, especially his E ability and his ultimate, which slows enemies. This will grant him more opportunities to finish off enemies before they escape.

Stonewall

Besides increasing Greystone’s health and physical armor, Stonewall will increase his base health regeneration. This helps you stay longer in the fight without returning to base to regenerate your health for the next big fight.

  • +250 Health
  • +150% Base Health Regeneration
  • +70 Physical Armor
  • Shockwave (90-second cooldown): When going below 40% Health, stun nearby enemies for 0.75 seconds
  • Bulwark: Mitigate 8(+6%)% of Physical Damage
  • Cost: 3,000

Chances are that enemy tanks or AD Heroes start to focus you, so if you get ambushed by the enemy team and start taking heavy damage, Shockwave will come in handy to stun your attackers and give you greater chances to run.

Crystalline Cuirass

In case you haven’t noticed, most of our build has focused on growing Greystone’s defenses and improving his health and physical armor, but we haven’t covered a key aspect: Magical armor. Here’s where Crystalline Cuirass comes in, improving the character’s magical armor, health, and ability haste.

  • +350 Health
  • +60 Magical Armor
  • +10 Ability Haste
  • Celestial Carapace: When taking Magical Damage, gain a stack of Celestite for 5 seconds. This stacks up to 6 times and can only be gained once every 0.5 seconds
  • Celestite: Gain five Magical Armor per stack, at 6 stacks gain 15% Movement Speed
  • Cost: 3,000

Our lack of magical armor can be fixed with this item alone, thanks to its bonus features. Six stacks of Celestite amount to 30 points of magical armor, something that will come in handy when fighting mage enemies like Gideon.

Citadel

To complete our Greystone build, we will buy Citadel. This item will help further improve your Greystone’s damage, armor, and health.

  • +35 Physical Power
  • +200 Health
  • +40 Physical Armor
  • Fortification: In proximity to enemy heroes, you will gain an extra 6 physical armor for each enemy.
  • Intimidation: Nearby enemy heroes’ armor will decrease by 20%
  • Cost: 3,000

Fortification and Intimidation will be very effective in a team fight. The extra armor and armor decrease for enemies should help your teammates target assassins and support to weaken their push, securing the match’s victory.

With this last addition, our Greystone build should be ready, but if you’re dealing with magical enemies, feel free to exchange any of these for one that suits the enemy better.
