There are multiple Incense recipes to craft that provide different bonuses to yourself as well as your party. Here’s what you need to know when it comes to crafting and using Incense in Diablo 4.

Incense Crafting and Use in D4

The ability to craft Incense becomes available once you hit level 45. At that point you can head to the Alchemist where the Incense tab is now accessible. When you first go to the Alchemist there will only be one Incense that you can craft, Song of the Mountain. As you continue to level up, more recipes will unlock.

If you were wondering what to do with all the Paletongues, Crushed Beast Bones and other random items dropped from enemies, this is where they’ll be consumed.

There’s a total of 14 Incense currently in Diablo 4. Incense are broken up into categories, known as Type, ranging from one through three with only one Incense of a Type being usable at a time. Since Incense buffs players in the vicinity for a span of time it’s safe to assume these are for when you’re doing Legion Events, fighting World Bosses, or playing as a party.
