Everything Included in Fortnite x Avatar Elements Event

The Avatar x Fortnite event, officially titled Avatar Elements, is arriving in Fortnite on April 12, 2024 at 9 am EST. During this event, we will see plenty more Avatar-themed features. Epic Games and reliable leakers on Twitter give us a few teasers on what we can expect to see.

Like most past events, it will feature its own Event Pass with plenty of themed rewards. To claim those rewards, we will get unique quests to complete to earn points. The quests will roll out over the whole event time, most likely over a couple of weeks. Along with the Event Pass and quests, we can also expect skins in the shop, abilities to use in-game, and even some map changes.

We already have the Korra skin we can claim from the special Battle Pass quests. Several more confirmed skins are coming for the event: Katara, Zuko, and Toph. They will feature in the Item Shop for 2,000 V-Bucks each. While this price may seem high, they also come with their own Pickaxes and Back Blings.

An Aang skin hasn’t officially been confirmed, but leakers state he is the skin included in the Event Pass. You’ll have to reach the end of the pass and most likely upgrade the pass to Premium to unlock him. He’ll likely have a regular skin as well as one additional style.

Fortnite Bending Abilities

We’ve seen what Waterbending can do in Fortnite already, but with the Avatar Elements event, we can also try out some other bending abilities. From the event trailer, it’s evident that Firebending and Earthbending will be included. The only one not shown is Airbending, but it may also be an option.

Like Waterbending, they’re expected to be found as ground loot or in chests around the map. However, some leakers speculate they differ a bit in that they will scattered around in specifically themed chests instead. These chests will only spawn at the elemental temples seen briefly in the event trailer.

The bending abilities will differ a bit from each other but will likely have the same basic mechanics. They are all Mythic rarity items in the form of scrolls before being picked up and will do the same amount of damage. The trailer shows that each ability will have the element flowing around them, much like the Waterbending, and will shoot those elements out toward their targets. The main difference between them will be the passive qualities, like the Waterbending healing in water. However, we aren’t quite sure what that will entail for the other elements yet.

Fortnite x Avatar Map Changes

Perhaps the biggest speculation for the Avatar Elements event is changes to the map. While some past events have included new locations, like the TMNT sewers spot, it isn’t completely confirmed there will be anything other than the icy orb where Aang is currently frozen. However, there is plenty of talk of elemental temples going up around the map, at which we’ll find the various bending abilities. Another theory is that MEGA City will make a limited-time reappearance. We won’t know for sure until the update takes place, and we can explore it for ourselves.

Stay tuned for more details on the event as it comes around. What features are you most looking forward to? I personally can’t wait to try out some Firebending abilities!
