How to Emerge From Water in Fortnite

Emerge from water like a true Avatar!

With the Avatar x Fortnite collab, you will not only be able to start Waterbending in Battle Royale, but you can also earn the Korra skin by completing her set of quests. The first step to these quests is to emerge from water, so here’s how to do it.

How to Complete Emerge From Water Quest in Fortnite

Unlike some quests, this one doesn’t have a marker telling you where to go to complete it. Since it’s a little vague when it comes to ‘water’ when there is so much water around the map, it might be a bit confusing. However, as we mentioned there is no exact spot you need to go.

To complete this quest, you only need to walk into any water around the map — you don’t even need to swim or dive in the water. As soon as you step foot inside the water and then back onto land, the quest will be marked as completed.

However, some spots will guarantee completion of the quest and give you a better standing in the match. That way, you won’t have to worry about the storm or being unable to loot up, like you might if you went to the edges of the map. These are the spots I would recommend:

  • Old Loot Lake southeast of Restored Reels
  • Pond southwest of Grand Glacier
  • River Styx east of Grim Gate
  • Ponds east of Classy Courts
  • Waterfall southwest of Mount Olympus

You don’t need Waterbending to complete this quest, but it’s great to have while venturing into water. Even if you don’t select it in your quick bar, it gives passive swim speed and allows you to heal over time as long as you’re within it. This will give you an advantage while you’re in the water. So, if you need to make a quick getaway or you need some healing anytime, you can just find the nearest stream or lake.
