If you’re an Avatar fan, you’ll be excited to know that Korra isn’t the only character we’ll see in Fortnite. There is a lot more to the collaboration coming later in April, but you can actually find Aang and Appa on the map already. Here’s where they are.
Where are Aang and Appa in Fortnite?
We’ve already had a taste of the Avatar x Fortnite collab with Waterbending and Korra quests, but there is plenty more arriving soon. In fact, Aang and Appa are already on the map. The hidden location isn’t shown on the map, but if you land nearby, you’ll most definitely spot it due to its size.
If you check out your map, you’ll notice a little island on the very northeast side. This isn’t where Aang is hiding, but it’s the closest you can get when looking at the map. You’ll have to swim even farther northeast to reach the icebergs, right on the edge of the storm circle. Here, you’ll see the giant sphere of ice where Aang and Appa are frozen.
This isn’t a throwaway location, either. Not only is it a little teaser to the upcoming events, but you can also loot some chests there. Yes, you’ll have to run from the storm immediately as it starts closing, but you won’t be completely defenseless. You can even find Rare Chests there. I found one right on the very top of the sphere, only reachable by landing with your glider from the Battle Bus. Then, there is a rig nearby with zip lines you can use to make it back to the mainland quickly.
When is the Avatar x Fortnite event?
The official Avatar event in Fortnite won’t start until April 12, 2024. and extend for the following weeks, most likely until the end of the month. During this event, we can expect to have an Aang skin available to purchase or earn through quests. Although there hasn’t been too much info about it yet, when looking at past events like this, we can also expect an event Battle Pass. In this Battle Pass, we’ll collect other Avatar-themed rewards by earning points from quests. We’ll know more as the event comes around, so stay tuned!
