How to Find and Open the Chest of the Flights in WoW: Dragonflight

When it comes to how to find and open the Chest of the Flights in WoW: Dragonflight, you might feel you're traveling beyond the map.

The Chest of Flights in WoW: Dragonflight can be troublesome to get, both to find and to open. You’ll need to solve a puzzle before you can actually open the chest, but luckily it’s not too punishing if you don’t get it right the first time.

WoW Chest of the Flights Location

The Chest of the Flights is one of many new treasures added to WoW: Dragonflight in Patch 10.1, this one being found in Zaralek Cavern at (X:56, Y:3.2), but it looks like it’s found on another map. I felt like I was going the wrong way since this area is in a portion of the map that looks like it’s beyond the zone. However, if you keep flying up the rocky area, you’ll arrive at a cave with the Chest of the Flights within it.

Chest of Flights Puzzle Solution

Now, you’ll notice colored gems on the ground that line up with the colors of the Dragonflights, making the treasure’s name very fitting. You need to interact with these gems in a specific order to unlock the chest. But don’t worry if you hit the wrong order. Not only is there a simple knock-back as a penalty, your progress in solving the puzzle doesn’t reset.

If you don’t want to unlock it through trial and error, here’s the correct order:

  • Red
  • Black
  • Blue
  • Bronze (which looks more like yellow)
  • Green

With that, you can loot the Chest of the Flights and continue to your next destination. For more WoW: Dragonflight guides for finding Zaralek Cavern treasures, check out how to open the Crystal-Encased Chest or how to get the Molten Hoard.
