As soon as the patch went live, players began experiencing CoD MW3 and Warzone Dev Error 5433. Tickets and complaints flooded in, causing Call of Duty Updates, the official update account for the franchise, to tweet that the team was investigating the issue. According to them, the error is only occurring for PlayStation players.

Other users quickly replied to the thread with an easy fix.

  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Select Graphic Settings.
  • Select On-Demand Texture Streaming.
  • Change the Allocated Texture Cache Size to small.

Call of Duty Updates sent out an update 25 minutes later, echoing the same advice. It seems that Dev Error 5433 relates to graphics issues between the game and PlayStation consoles. This is the only potential fix for the issue at this moment.

If you’ve already decreased the Allocated Texture Cache Size to small and are still having problems, try restarting your console. Sometimes, setting changes won’t take effect without it. If it’s still not letting you play, you’ll want to send in a support ticket to or wait until an official fix is released. You can track the team’s progress on the official Trello board for the error.
