Manor Lords: How to Fix Road Access Obstructed
I spoke a bit about the lack of clarity in some aspects of my Manor Lords review. In this case, the Road Access Obstructed issue can be confusing or unclear because it can appear even if you haven’t built any roads yet. Additionally, this issue is frustrating because it prevents you from building in the location you selected without explain how the road is obstructed. The cause is actually obstructing the road access points of another building, which allows you to connect everything to the road network.
What is Road Access in Manor Lords?
When you build roads in Manor Lords, each building has one or more small circles near it. These are the road access points. Connecting roads to these points means that the building is considered part of the road network. Since using roads can speed up transportation, it’s useful to build them as you expand. As such, trying to build another building in a location that covers those points gives you the Road Access Obstructed warning.
Running your settlement is a core feature of the game, no matter which end goal you select. Because of that, it’s important to set up early and create reliable ways for your settlement to keep a healthy stock of supplies. From there, you can grow in population, and increase your power to conquer other regions. Or simply continue growing to make your settlement as large as possible.
