LEGO Fortnite: How to Get and Use Cut Amber

LEGO Fortnite is a survival crafting game, so you’ll come across plenty of new materials to collect and utilize. Eventually, you’ll need Rough Amber for recipes. However, finding it can be a bit tricky. In this guide, we’ll go over exactly how to get and use Cut Amber in LEGO Fortnite.

How to Get and Use Cut Amber in LEGO Fortnite

You’ll need Rough Amber to craft Cut Amber at a Gem Cutter. Rough Amber can only be found in the desert biome, Dry Valley.

Much like deserts in the real world, the biome is cold during the night and hot at peak hours of the day. So, I recommend you travel there during the early morning hours. Once you arrive, you’ll notice tall rock formations. The Rough Amber is found on the top of the rock formations. You’ll know you’ve found one when you see a yellow gemstone sticking out of the rock face.

You’ll want to build some basic stairs to reach the Amber. You don’t need to complete the builds, and you can stack them on top of each other to reach the top. So, you’ll want to arrive at the biome with some wood. Notably, there are also some geysers there that’ll launch your minifig into the air, but you’ll still need some stairs throughout the biome.  

You’ll need an Uncommon Pickaxe to mine the Rough Amber, which requires three Knotroot and three Bones. After you’ve mined the Rough Amber, you can turn it into Cut Amber at a Gem Cutter station. Simply deposit the material in the crafting station to get some. Here’s the recipe to craft a Gem Cutter:

• x20 Marble Slab
• x5 Rough Amber
• x5 Sand Claw
• x3 Sand Shell

The Cut Amber can be used for a variety of crafting recipes, including an Essence Table to enchant weapons. So you’ll want to keep some on hand.
