How to Destroy Enemy Equipment for RGL-80 Forged Camo in MW3

Camo Mastery in CoD can force you into frustrating situations because you’ll be faced with challenges that get increasingly difficult as you work toward Gilded Mastery. Oftentimes, they’ll seem simple at face value, but in practice, they can leave you baffled, wondering how the devs decided on that challenge. At least I’ve felt this way while playing MW3.

The Forged Camo for the RGL-80 will ask you to destroy 25 pieces of Enemy Equipment with the weapon. Sounds simple, right? Well, unfortunately, some equipment doesn’t toward the challenge. You’ll need to target direct hits to Claymores and Proximity Mines with the Grenade Launcher.

While you won’t come across Claymores or Proximity Mines in most matches, there are game modes that increase your odds of getting the challenge done efficiently. I recommend you join Hardpoint, Control, or Domination for the Forged challenge. More often than not, players will throw Claymore or Proximity down near an objective, so you’re bound to come across some in-game. To successfully destroy them, you’ll want to aim directly at them. If the equipment is further from the blast radius, you’re less likely to destroy it.

If you’re like me and like to keep one eye on your k/d at all times, you’ll want to equip a second primary weapon for this challenge. To do so, you’ll need to equip the Overkill Vest. Then, you can select your favorite weapon for your Primary and switch to the RGL-80 as needed.

That’s how to destroy Enemy Equipment for the RGL-80 Forged Camo in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. We’ve got plenty more coverage for the upcoming release, like how to check MW3 server status if you can’t log in for these challenges — and more at our guides hub here.
