Remnant 2: How to Get Secret Red Doe Staff & Rebellion Spear Weapons

The Red Doe Staff and Rebellion Spear are two semi-hidden weapons in Remnant 2. Here's how to get them.

Both the Red Doe Staff and Rebellion Spear are hidden weapons in Remnant 2. Both of them can help carry you into the end game, though melee weapons don’t have nearly the utility or functionality as almost any of the Long Guns or Handguns. That said, melee arms like the Staff have — or can be modded to have — incredibly handy abilities that work in a pinch, especially in team play. In this guide, I’ll cover how to get the Red Doe Staff and Rebellion Spear in Remnant 2.

Both the Rebellion Spear and Red Doe Staff are rewarded for defeating the Ravager boss on Yaesha.

  • To get the Red Doe Staff, you must save the Doe and turn in the Doe’s Antler to McCabe in Ward 13.
  • To get the Rebellion Spear, you need to save the Doe, defeat the Ravager, then speak to Bedel of the Vaunnt, who will reward you with the Spear.

Red Doe Staff and Rebellion Spear Requirements Detailed

As there are two possible boss paths on Yaesha (Ravager and Corruptor), if you don’t end up fighting the Ravager on your campaign run, you can always roll and reroll Yaesha Adventures until you start in a location called the Forgotten Grove.

Again, you must save the Red Doe when you reach the Ravager’s lair after you solve the Water Harp puzzle. The Corrupted Ravager will greet you and lead you to the Doe, and you can either kill it or use a single Relic charge to heal it.

  • You must heal the Red Doe to get both of the weapons. Choosing to shoot or melee the Doe kills it and locks you out of acquiring them, though there are additional rewards for killing it, should you want to go through the Ravager version of Yaesha again.

Red Doe Staff Stats

  • Damage: 62
  • Critical Hit Chance: 3%
  • Weak Spot Damage: +95%
  • Stagger Modifier: 8%

The Red Doe Staff has a base damage of 62, a 3% crit chance, and an average swing speed. The real reason to run it is its unique perk, Lifeline, which charges until you deal 250 damage with the Staff. It activates on a charged attack dealing 160 damage by default, restoring 10% health to your entire team.

Rebellion Spear Stats

  • Damage: 60
  • Critical Hit Chance: 13%
  • Weak Spot Damage: +110%
  • Stagger Modifier: 2%

The Rebellion Spear doesn’t come with any innate perks, offering only a single Mutator slot, but it has a 13% crit chance, 110% Weak Spot damage, and a fast attack speed. It also has more range than the Staff, though as a melee weapon, you’ll still need to be up in your enemy’s face to do anything.

And that’s how to get the Red Doe Staff and Rebellion Spear in Remnant 2. One of the simpler sets of boss weapons to get in the game, but also hidden enough that players who don’t reroll Yaesha might never see them.
