Remnant 2: How to Get the Bolt Driver

Here's how to get the Bolt Driver handgun in Remnant 2.

There are countless weapons to acquire in Gunfire Game’s sequel to From the Ashes. Some are crafted from boss items, others are given for beating the game, and more are purchased from vendors. Still, there are those simply found in the world. If you want every gun that’s in the game or are going after a specific trophy or achievement, you’ll want to know how to get the Bolt Driver in Remnant 2.

To get the Bolt Driver handgun in Remnant 2, you must perform Carnage in C-Minor on the Water Harp in Yaesha. You can find this musical contraption before the Ravager fight, which is a mandatory boss battle. Across my 50+ hours with the game, I’ve always found this area in Yaesha at The Lost Temple. However, it may follow a different sub-area because of RNG.

If you haven’t yet encountered the Water Harp puzzle in Remnant 2, look for stone ruins near a chasm. These are by a waterfall, and a flautist plays music nearby. You must solve the Water Harp puzzle before being able to play Carnage in C-Minor and get the Bolt Driver.

Once you play the secret song on the contraption, a compartment will rise from the ground nearby. Inside is the Bolt Driver handgun, bathed in purple light.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the Bolt Driver. I find that it’s a clunky option that’s outpaced by the Submachine gun (MP60-R) and the Enigma, both of which are far superior Remnant 2 weapons. The Bolt Driver fires in a 3-round burst, similar to the Pulse Rifle, but it requires a charge to do so. You’ll have to be strategic with it and use specific Mutators and Rings to get the most out of it.

That’s how to get the Bolt Driver in Remnant 2. For more walkthroughs, puzzle solutions, and general tips and tricks, head over to our R2 guides hub.
