Where is the Holiday Oven in Destiny 2 The Dawning 2023?

Here's how to find Eva's Holiday Over in The Dawning 2023 to bake cookies for everyone in Destiny 2.

The Dawning 2023 is upon us again in Destiny 2, and like every year, you’ll be baking holiday treats and delicious cookies for everyone in the system. To do that, you need to know where to find Eva’s Holiday Oven, which isn’t immediately clear. But we’ve got the location for you.

After visiting Eva Levante in the Tower and accepting The Dawning Quest, you’ll quickly see that she gives you Eva’s Holiday Oven 2.1, but it’s not immediately clear where you can find it to bake cookies. Thankfully, you don’t need to look far. You’ll find the Holiday Oven in the Quests tab of your Director.

To get there, pull out your Ghost and hold down the Open Director button, then navigate to the Quests tab. On the left-hand side of the screen, select the second icon down (the crown not on a shield), and you should see the Holiday Oven at or near the top of your quest collection.

Why Bungie decided to put the Oven in this oddly inconvenient location is beyond me, but I’m also not sure where else they would put the thing. It can’t go in your weapon inventory, nor your consumable inventory. Making it available from the Event Card screen could make sense, though that menu is cluttered enough as it is. Probably the best answer would be to make it selectable from the Featured Quests screen, but that has pitfalls, too.

Using the Holiday Oven in the Dawning 2023 is fairly straightforward once you know how to find it. There are two steps:

  • Collect the ingredients you need to make a cookie. Every cookie you can bake during the Dawning 2023 takes two ingredients and some Essence of Dawning to bake. You can collect ingredients like Vex Milk and Perfect Taste by defeating enemies anywhere in the game with specific weapons and abilities.
  • Select the cookie you want to bake from the Recipe section. Until you’ve baked all 20 of The Dawning holiday cookies, you’ll need to spend 15 Essence of Dawning to finish the process. Once you’ve baked everything there is to bake, you can Masterwork the Holiday Oven, and the Essence Cost is reduced to 10.

Where to Find the Oven if It Disappears From Your Inventory

In any case, once you know where the Holiday Oven is in Destiny 2, accessing it is easy. Be aware that the more quests you accept, whether legacy seasons or otherwise, the farther down the list the Oven will go. It didn’t disappear. Again, why it’s not pinned at the top of the menu also eludes me. But I digress.

Either way, that’s where to find Eva’s Holiday Oven in The Dawning 2023 in Destiny 2.
