The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Beam Emitters are an extremely powerful Zonai Device. Here’s our guide to help you find Beam Emitters in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

TotK Beam Emitter Locations

Beam Emitters are found in various locations throughout Hyrule. In some cases, you’ll get them as chest rewards. In others, they might be strewn about an area, allowing you to easily pick them up and use them as you see fit. However, the most reliable sources of TotK Beam Emitters are via Device Dispensers.

Device Dispensers require Zonaite Charges or Large Zonaite Charges. They provide you with random tools, though the tools will still come from a limited selection pool. As such, our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Beam Emitters guide takes a look at the Device Dispensers in the Sky Region that have this item in their pool of rewards. Here are the locations:

  • East Gerudo Sky Archipelago: Rakashog Shrine
  • Zonaite Forge Island: Yansamin Shrine
  • South Lanaryu Sky Archipelago: Sihajog Shrine
  • Lanaryu Sky Archipelago: Jirutagumac Shrine

How to Use Beam Emitters

TotK Beam Emitters continuously shoot a powerful laser that damages enemies and slowly drains your energy. On their own, they can be a useful addition to your arsenal of weapons, Fused or otherwise. However, one device isn’t enough to melt enemies and bosses.

That’s why there are videos with players using multiple (sometimes over a dozen) Beam Emitters to make quick work of bosses. One such example can be seen in the video below from YouTuber Oyff.

The contraption made in the video above is just one of many different ways to create Beam Emitter weapons and contraptions. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of different possibilities once you’ve discovered how to get and use them. I personally prefer using around a dozen Beam Emitters, all attached to a Construct Head, a device that can automatically track nearby enemies.

It’s also possible to lift the entire thing manually using Ultrahand, in case you want to redirect the lasers to hit a target. Just know that you’ll need multiple Batteries to power these devices. Further, be sure to complete the Shrines as the various Zonai Device Dispensers so that you can easily fast travel back and forth.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Beam Emitters are just one type of Zonai Device that will prove useful as you adventure across Hyrule, the Sky Islands, the Depths. There are many others that provide unique effects, such as Rockets, Cannons, and more.
