Getting started with upgrades using the Fabricator in Slime Rancher 2 is a piece of cake, but how do you get materials that aren’t plorts, like Jellystone or Radiant Ore? Radiant Ore will be your first non-plort concern since you need 10 of them to make the Jetpack.

You’ll need to craft another tool before you can start thinking about ore nodes, though. You need the Resource Harvester first and foremost, and then you can start looking for Radiant Ore, Jellystone, and Strange Diamonds.

Luckily, the Resource Harvester is easy enough to make, and hopefully you’ve popped down to your Fabricator to make it up. If not, you need to deposit 10 Cotton Plorts into a Refinery and have 450 Newbucks on hand to make the Resource Harvester.

Where to Get Radiant Ore

Most of the ore nodes in Rainbow Fields are Jellystone nodes, so you’ll have to travel to a new area to start bringing in Radiant Ore. The Ember Valley is the best source of Radiant Ore at the time of writing, and is easy enough to get to. Check out our brief guide on how to get to Ember Valley to make it quick and easy.

Ore nodes spawn randomly in Slime Rancher 2, so you’ll have to do some exploration around the area to find Radiant Ore nodes. Look for turquoise stones with purple shards sticking out of them.

These nodes can be found high and low, and can spawn near each other, so be sure to have a look around if you’ve found a single Radiant Ore node. You’ll have to extract ore from a few nodes to get the 10 you need for the Jetpack, but with luck, you should only be wandering around Ember Valley for a few minutes to get enough.

Radiant Ore is just one of the ores you need to get your hands on to upgrade your capabilities in Slime Rancher 2, and you’ll need to explore the whole map to get them all. Check out our other Slime Rancher 2 guides for help unlocking locations and finding resources.
