Use Campfire Kits

Lastly, you can build a campfire to restore some of your lost HP by using Campfire Kit, which can be purchased from a Weaponsmith.

Use Class Abilities to Heal

The most important classes for healing yourself and others in Dark and Darker are the Cleric, Barbarian, Fighter, and Ranger — in that order.

  • Cleric: One of this class’ perks is Kindness, which restores 15% of its own HP while healing another target. To mend others, Cleric can use the Tier 5 spell Holy Light, which heals an ally for 30 HP.
  • Barbarian: The Morale Boost perk restores 10% of the class’ HP after killing an enemy. The Toughness perk also increases its own HP pool by 10%. Finally, the War Cry skill increases the Barbarian’s HP pool and that of his allies by 25%.
  • Fighter: Ths class has two skills that restore HP: Second Wind and Victory Strike. The first one recovers 50% of your HP, while the latter restores 5% if you killed an enemy.
  • Ranger: This is the last class that can heal itself by using the Field Ration skill. In this case, you need to forage food, thus restoring 25 HP.
