Aura Kingdom sets itself apart from other MMORPGs by having a unique combat pet system. These pets are called eidolons; each eidolon has its own model and set of skills. Some function more as damage dealers while others function more as support.

How to Obtain an Eidolon:
- Choose a starter eidolon (Serif, Merrilee, Grimm, or Aleesa,) during character creation. Progress through the beginning story in Port Skandia to eventually unlock your eidolon at level 10.
- Complete the automatic quests Call of Gaia or Resonance of Gaia to unlock an eidolon (Aelius or Sigrun; Gigas or Uzuriel.)
- Unlock the other eidolons by obtaining an eidolon-specific eidolon key.
- You can craft eidolon keys by combining 10 key fragments, a certain amount of experience crystals, and paying a bit of gold.
- You can randomly get eidolon key fragments, experience crystals, or whole eidolon keys by buying an essence pack from the item mall.
