How to Make Smooth Stone in Minecraft
- Smooth Stone is used to craft the Blast Furnace as well as Smooth Stone Slabs.
- You can choose to either seek it out, or you can make it yourself in a pinch.
- Smooth Stone blocks must be mined with a pickaxe, if you happen to see them around.
Smooth Stone blocks generate naturally and can be mined using a pickaxe, and they can be found inside mason villager chests. Both options are well and fine, but I find the easiest way to get this crafting item is to simply smelt it using the recipe below.

You will need a Furnace to smelt Smooth Stone. The recipe when using a Furnace is as follows:
- 1 Stone
- 1 Charcoal

If you don’t have Stone but you do have a bunch of Cobblestone, you can smelt the Cobblestone into regular Stone at a Furnace using the following recipe:

- 1 Charcoal
