How to Navigate Tulip Snakes in Lethal Company

Alien abductions are real in Lethal Company.

Tulip Snakes are one of the three new enemies in Lethal Company v50. They’re cute enemies, and you can collaborate with them in some limited way. They can lift you and carry you to victory or demise. Here’s how to navigate Tulip Snakes in Lethal Company and improve your odds.

How to Deal With Flower Snakes in Lethal Company

Don’t worry; Flower Snakes won’t outright kill you by eating you, suffocating you, or biting you and injecting you with their venom. They just want to lift you off the ground and have some fun with you, to show off their capabilities to their potential love partners (at least that’s what the Bestiary lore says).

Flower Snakes are enemies with a power level of 0.5, similar to Baboon Hawks. They spawn in packs of four and will roam on the Moon. If they find you, they’ll inconspicuously latch onto your face one by one.

So, as soon as you get a couple of Tulip Snakes on your head in Lethal Company, you may expect a liftoff countdown promptly. But you are not completely at the mercy of these flying snakes. You can steer your trajectory a bit.

How to Fly With Tulip Snakes in Lethal Company

Once you are lifted off the ground, Tulip Snakes will carry you for about 10 seconds (more or less) and will drop you off after they’re done “showing off”. You’ll notice that their steering capabilities are wobbly, to say the least, and that’s where you come in.

By using your strafe keys, you can somewhat influence this steering and make an attempt to steer away from peril (such as monsters, pits of death, water, or fall damage in general). Make sure never to get into the Facility stage with them on your head because they will stay on your head, and they might just fly you into the fan in the main entrance room and kill you by proxy.

Can You Kill Tulip Snakes in Lethal Company?

Yes, you can definitely kill Tulip Snakes in Lethal Company if you’re not having any of that organic jet-pack mumbo-jumbo. You can kill Tulip Snakes with a Shovel, Stop Sign, Yield Sign, or Knife, or if you’re a pacifist, you can stun them with a Flashbang, and they’ll let go of you. Just make sure to hold it in your hand instead of throwing it away.
