Armadillos will spawn in any of the badlands and savanna variant biomes in Minecraft including:

  • Badlands.
  • Eroded Badlands.
  • Wooded Badlands.
  • Savannas.
  • Savanna Plateaus.
  • Windswept Savannas.

How to Find Badlands and Savanna Biomes in Minecraft

Locating the Badlands and Savanna biomes in Minecraft can be challenging, as they are less common than other biomes. However, using the Biome Finder tool on Chunkbase can save time and frustration. This tool allows you to quickly find the coordinates of these biomes in your seed instead of exploring randomly and hoping to stumble upon them.

Here’s how to use Chunkbase to find the Badlands and Savanna biomes:

  1. Go to the Chunkbase website.
  2. Enter your seed.
  3. Select your Minecraft version.
  4. Select your Minecraft dimension.

Based on your input, a map will be generated below the tool. You can then use it to locate the coordinates of the two biomes where Armadillos spawn in Minecraft.

How do Armadillos Behave in Minecraft?

If you encounter an Armadillo, approach it cautiously, as it will roll up into a ball if it senses danger. Actions that will cause the Armadillo to do this include if you are moving too quickly, riding a mount or vehicle, or if there are undead mobs nearby.

The Armadillo has a range of approximately seven blocks and will only uncurl if it feels safe and unthreatened for three seconds. While curled up, it will not eat or move around much and take less damage. However, if you are leading it, if it is fleeing, or if it is in the air or water, it will not curl up.

Now that you know where Armadillos spawn in Minecraft, you can perform other actions, such as breeding them. Check out our Minecraft hub for more guides like How to Make Wolf Armor.
