Once you make it to Montero Farm in Madrugada, you’ll open up the cockfighting mini-game, where you’ll be able to earn pesos by pitting rooster against rooster. There are a total of 19 Far Cry 6 roosters you can collect to fight in the ring, but only 13 of them (Yara’s Fiercest Fighters) count toward the Recrooster trophy and achievement, and their locations are spread all around Yara’s four primary regions.
The remaining six roosters (Yara’s Avian Mercenaries) are received as Ubisoft rewards and don’t count toward the total for Recrooster, so you needn’t worry about those birds. This guide will show your where to find every rooster you need to complete this collectibles collection and have a full cockfighting roster.
How to Find All Roosters in Far Cry 6
You’ll be searching for rooster locations in each of Yara’s four major regions: Madrugada, Valle De Oro, El Este, and Esperanza; there aren’t any to find on Isla Santuario. You can keep track of how many roosters you’ve collected by pausing the game and going over to the Collections tab. As you explore, stay on the lookout for a white cage icon on your minimap, showing the location of each cage.
Madrugada Roosters
El Rato
El Rato is likely one of the first roosters you’ll collect because they’re so easy to find. This rooster is inside the fence at the cockfighting ring at Montero Farm. They’re to the right of the ring in a crate with red rope on it.
El Aguila
El Aguila is located just northeast of the Cortina Weather Station, across the Cortina River at the top of the cliffs east of the bridge crossing the river. Go up the mountain, and use the zipline to get from one side to the other. The crate is by a chicken pen looking back toward the weather station.
El Dorado
El Dorado is inside the bunker kitchen area during the Spur of the Moment quest. The third of Madrugada’s roosters is behind the slaughter table in a crate.
Acero
Acero is just northeast of the radio tower in Verdera, Lozania. Cross the road and go up the path next to the pink ice cream cart. Take the first left. The crate will be in front of you against a building with a green tarp and blue corrugated metal.
Valle de Oro Roosters
Papacito
You’ll find Papcito in the Castillo National Zoo. You can get them during the quest Break the Chains, which you receive from Talia Benevidez after meeting Maxima Matanzas in Valle de Oro. The zoo is located in Diamante Lakes, north of Feroza.
Go to the very back of the zoo, over the large green interior wall, to find a chicken coop on the eastern side. If you hit the second large green wall on the periphery, you’ve gone too far.
La Muerte Negra
You can find La Muerte Negra in Segunda, Cruz Del Salvador in Valle de Oro. You’ll come to this area during the mission Balance the Books for Paolo.
Go to the western edge of Segunda (west of the orange and blue tower in the square), and you’ll find a ranch. The crate is in the southwestern portion of the ranch, behind a chainlink fence with and a woman and a dog.
El Pico
El Pico can be found at a farm in Cielo Gardens, Noventarmas. The farm is south of the Botanical Gardens of Yara, across the main road and up the hill. You’ll see a blue house, and the crate with the chanticleer is behind it.
El Fenix
El Fenix can be found near the eastern coast of Valle De Oro, specifically Muerte Point in Barrial. Go to the southern portion of Orquidea Villa, just north of Rey Del Diente Croc Farm in the trespassing zone.
You’ll find a house with a pig pen out front and a blue car in the driveway. The box with the rooster is in the chicken pen next to the car.
El Este Roosters
La Bala De Plata
La Bala De Plata is found at Alvarez Farm in Sierra Perdida, Vacia Coast. The box is on a cart next to the main thatch-roofed building at the farm. You’ll come here to meet Reinaldo to start the Yaran Story Man’s Best Enemy and get Chicharron as your amigo.
Hermoso
Hermosos can be found at Bonilla Farm, west of anti-aircraft site Theta in the western Savannah Fields in Sierra Perdida. This fowl is in the livestock pen next to the blue house, in the left concrete stall.
El Gallo Magnifico
El Gallo Magnifico is located at Arrese Farm in Fernando Valley. You come here as part of the Everything to Lose Yaran Story, given by Petra Toca. The quest marker will take you to Arrese, who asks you to take his rooster to a safer place.
Magnifico is locked in the shed by Arrese, and you’ll need a ket to open the shed. You can find the key inside the house.
El Huevo
El Huevo can be found in La Joya at the La Joya Local PDP Offices in the southwestern portion of Mirador Cape. The offices are just northwest of the Madona River text on the map.
The crate can be found behind a locked gate on the second floor of the building with the Oficinas PDP La Joya sign in front of it. You can either enter from the front or drop into the room from the roof.
Esperanza Rooster
La Bestia Blanca
La Bestia Blanca is found at the Casas Del Lodo Residence in Northwestern Esperanza, Roja Bay. The rooster is in the kitchen of a teal house on the cliff by the water, barely southeast of the Casas Del Lodo marker on the map.
