Hogwarts Legacy is the most robust Harry Potter game to date, offering players a unique story experience set in 1800s Hogwarts with their own custom made character. A common question about the upcoming title is whether Hogwarts Legacy has multiplayer, and the answer may surprise you.
Is There Multiplayer in Hogwarts Legacy?
While some Harry Potter fans may hope to see multiplayer in Hogwarts Legacy, maybe of the co-op variety, the game will not feature multiplayer in any capacity as it’s been developed as an immersive single-player experience.
This may come as a bit of a disappointment because exploring an 1800s Hogwarts with a friend does sound like a good time, but it’s probably for the best that the dev team has been able to focus their efforts on fleshing out the game world, story, and mechanics than tacking on a multiplayer mode.
That said, there’s no saying that there’s no possibility of a multiplayer mode being added in later DLC or an expansion, but at the time of release, there will be neither local nor online co-op included in Hogwarts Legacy.
