Running another Amdapor Keep in Final Fantasy XIV I got curious about the hallway just after the first boss. There is a little side section right after the Aetherflow dropoff point that I had never checked before. I’m a completeionist so I had to wander over just to see what was there.
There I found a treasure chest that nobody had known about. I love treasure so I deemed the exploration a success. In the map below I have circled the location of this most elusive of coffers.
There are only three monsters guarding this chest, a Brontotaur and two Hound Lights.
If you have the correct composition, sleep the Hound Lights and kill the Brontotaur first since it’s not sleepable. If you can’t sleep them don’t worry about it, it was just a suggestion for luxury sake. Both Brontotaur and the Hound Lights die fast so it’s not like it’s a challenge.
On the run where I found the chest it dropped two sets of seven Allegan Bronze Pieces worth 100 gil each. I don’t know if this coffer can drop gear, I’ve only run it the one time since finding it. After a few more data samples have been collected I can give a definitive answer on whether there is a chance for gear in this coffer.
