TotK Riogok Shrine Force Transfer Puzzle Walkthrough

Upon entering the Riogok Shrine, you’ll notice two spinning gears and a log. Given that this is the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Force Transfer puzzle, the clue is in the name itself.

First Force Transfer Puzzle Solution

For the first Force Transfer puzzle, simply place the log between the two gears, and strike the switch. This will cause “force” to be applied to both, which will then open the gate.

How to Get the Force Transfer Puzzle Chest

In the next room, you’ll see a device that’s missing a lever, as well as a chest that’s on top of a ledge that you can’t reach normally. To get it, attach the log to the lever, then pull it with Ultrahand. A small nook will open, which reveals yet another log. You can combine these two to create a tall pillar that Link can climb. The chest itself yields a Mighty Construct bow.

Second Force Transfer Puzzle Solution

This TotK Force Transfer puzzle section has a couple of metal boards and a spinning gear. And, of course, you still have the logs with you. There are two ways to solve this:

  • Initially, I made a climbable pillar and ceiling. Using the logs, I climbed to the top of the board. Then, I pulled the logs with Ultrahand. This was how I reached the altar at the top.
  • Alternatively, you could also attach the logs to the gear, laying them horizontally below the board. As the gear spins, the board will be raised, allowing you to cast the Ascend ability.

And that’s it! You’ve completed the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Force Transfer puzzle for the Riogok Shrine. For more tips and walkthroughs, visit our Zelda: TotK guides hub.
