How to Get the Sand Boots and Snow Boots in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The TotK Sand Boots and Snow Boots are quite unique in that you won’t find them sold by regular shops and vendors. Instead, you’ll need to find the Gerudo Secret Club. Since the desert city is inhabited primarily by women, this well-hidden shop caters to men. And it just so happens that Link is in the area.
To get the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Sand Boots and Snow Boots, you’ll want to make your way to the southwestern portion of the world map. The climate in the desert is harsh, and you’ll also cross snow-capped mountains, so I suggest bringing both cold resistance and heat resistance food. Eventually, you’ll reach Gerudo Town. The coordinates are: -3881, -2691, 0123.
Proceed further with the main quest until you gain access to the hub area. Then, head down the opening in the center to reach the tunnels. Follow the narrow corridors until you reach the end. The coordinates are: -3787, -2916, 0032. When you cast Ascend, you’ll find yourself in the Gerudo Secret Club.
Here, you can buy the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Sand Boots and Snow Boots. These are their stats and effects:
- Sand Boots: +2 armor; increased speed on sandy terrain; costs 1,200 rupees.
- Snow Boots: +2 armor; increased speed on snowy terrain; costs 1,300 rupees.
If you do acquire these items, Link will be able to move faster depending on the terrain. Still, due to their low armor, and because they’re not part of top-tier sets, I did find them a bit gimmicky and situational. I think it’s better to just wear the gear that improves your character’s capabilities, while relying on vehicles to get around. You could even dupe Zonai Devices to help with navigation and exploration.
