Winning the House Cup in Hogwarts Legacy is the way to see the game's True Ending.

Attending the Hogwarts House Cup Ceremony in Hogwarts Legacy is one of the only post main game quests. While the “ending” of the game may have come from vanquishing Ranrok and his Loyalists, the true ending is the House Cup Ceremony. You’ve got to know how to win the House Cup before you can do it, though.

How to Get the True Ending in Hogwarts Legacy

In order to start “The House Cup” you must be at least level 34. After completing the quest “Weasley’s Watchful Eye”, everyone in Hogwarts will gather in the Great Hall for the House Cup Ceremony. A series of cutscenes will play going through classes, such as Boggart training with Professor Hecat.

When Professor Black is about to state which house has won, Professor Weasley interrupts to award you an additional 100 points. This makes your house the winner, and gives you the true ending of Hogwarts Legacy.

You do not have to complete all of the side quests in the game to trigger “The House Cup” and see the true ending. You do not have to find all the Treasure Vaults, Pop all the Balloons, or catch all the Magical Beasts. The true ending is much easier to obtain than that. You just need to be level 34.

While the House Cup Ceremony is the true ending of Hogwarts Legacy, that does not mean it is the end of the game. The level cap is still there to be reached, side quests to complete and achievements to earn.
