The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom giant robot is a custom-made machine that you can have in-game. By combining various objects and devices, you can have a mech that can destroy your foes. Here’s our guide on how to build a giant bobot in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to Build a Giant Robot in TotK

There are numerous ways and countless designs that you can try out when you build a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom giant robot. In my case, I opted to use Zonai Devices only, which means doing the dupe method to have more items. I should also warn you that only 20 or so objects taken out of your inventory can exist at any point in time. More than that, and previous ones will disappear.

How to Make the Body, Legs, and Tracks

For my Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom giant robot body and tracks, I decided to use the following:

  • 4x Big Wheels
  • 3x Carts
  • 1x Stabilizer
  • 1x Steering Stick

Here’s what you need to do:

  • Attach the Big Wheels on both ends of a Cart.
  • Take another Cart, and attach a Stabilizer on one end.
  • For the third Cart, you’ll want to attach a Steering Stick to its center.
  • Place the second and third Cart combinations together, as seen in the images below. You don’t need to add these to the wheel/track part just yet.

How to Make the Arms and Weapons

For the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom giant robot arms and weapons, I used the following:

And here’s what you need to do:

  • Take one of each of the devices above so we can design an arm weapon. We’ll just copy it via Autobuild to make the second armament.
  • Place a Construct Head upright, with the rounded portion facing up.
  • Attach a Cannon and Beam Emitter on top of that.
  • Attach the Construct Head’s bottom portion to the center of a Cart.
  • Then, attach said Cart to the top section of a Spring.
  • Use another set of devices, then use Autobuild to make a copy of what you just created.
  • Attach the bottom sections of both Springs together.

As you can see in the images below, the two Springs are combined end-to-end. This contraption can then be placed on the “back” of the body that we made earlier.

Taking Out Your TotK Giant Robot For a Spin

We’re one step closer to finishing our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom giant robot. From here, you can simply add one last Cart on the back section of where you placed the Steering Stick earlier.

This acts as the head of sorts. It can also be used as a barrier when Link needs to get up to activate the mech. Alternatively, you can place the mech next to a wall or rock formation, then cast Ascend to where the Steering Stick is placed. The flat surface allows the ability to work.

The mech can be controlled via the Steering Stick, akin to a vehicle. Thanks to the weapons array, it can detect hostiles and blast them with lasers and explosives.

And that’s it. You’ve just made a Totk Giant Robot. This isn’t the only wild contraption that you can make. There are others, such as the Hoverbike, Bomber Plane, Laser Drone, and Zonai Tank. For other tips, strategies, and walkthroughs, visit our Zelda: TotK guides hub.
