  • Go to the marked location to enter the Grand Mill Works. You fight Khint and Khamer at the end.

Equipment Guide

Spell Fencers have an S aptitude for Swords. They also have A aptitude for Armor, Shields, and Helms.

Armor
  • Despite the look, they have a good aptitude for all armor. Take advantage of this and use high defense armor.
Weapons
  • You want to use a Sword. No other weapon comes close and it isn’t worth the slot to use a Lore support ability from another Job.

Spell Fencers have the Anti-Magic Specialty.

Level 10
  • Anti-Magic – Support ability that lets you use the Spell Fencer Specialty on other Jobs.

Cross Job Tips

  • Monks are very good for their high attack. Plus, mixing Natural Talent and Knuckle lore with Sword magic makes you imbue your fists with the magic. How cool is that?
  • In theory, any physical attacker is good with Spell Fencer. They also have decent INT and MND so if you want a little extra healing, you could try White Mage.
  • Red Mage is great for their BP raising support abilities. More BP means that you can switch elements at will and attack at the same time without losing a turn.
  • Knights are great for their Two Handed support ability. You will do more physical damage by using this and equipping one sword.

Special Moves

Sword
  • Level 1 – Brave 10 times.
    • Hack and Slash– Attacks one enemy, lowering their Physical Defense. Raises Hit Count for all allies.
  • Level 2 – Brave 20 times.
    • Air Splitter – Attacks all enemies. Raises Physical Attack for all allies.
  • Level 3 – Brave 30 times.
    • Sonic Wave – Attacks one enemy with Wind. Raises Physical Attack for all allies.

Combat Tips

Knowing your enemy’s weakness is essential to being a good Spell Fencer. Not everyone has a weakness, so for those that don’t, use your strongest Sword Magic. Just be sure not to use something the enemy is resistant to!

  • Never use HP or MP stealing magic on Undead enemies. You will drain your own HP or Mp instead.
  • Use Aspir when you get low on MP to replenish it.
  • It is always good to save BP so you can change to another element and attack in the same turn.

This is it for Spell Fencer. If you have any questions or suggestions about this Job, then let me know in the comments!
