Here's how to recruit each character in Tactics Ogre: Reborn, though you won't be getting everyone on one playthrough.

There are more than 30 recruitable characters in Tactics Ogre: Reborn through the game’s four chapters and post-game CODA episodes. The route you take will determine which characters you can recruit, as different ones are available between the lawful, neutral, and chaotic routes.

Let’s go over each of the game’s recruitable characters and their requirements.

Chapter 1 Recruitment List

Canopus

  • Class: Vartan.

Once the battle at Tynemouth Hill begins, he will join your team automatically.

Donnalto

  • Class: Cleric.

You need to choose to keep Donnalto alive at the end of the battle at Krysaro if you wish to recruit him.

Felicia

  • Class: Cleric.

If you choose to let Donnalto die, then Felicia will be the alternative choice.

Sara

  • Class: Archer.

Once the battle at Krysaro is over, Sara will join your team automatically.

Voltare

  • Class: Knight.

Once the battle at Krysaro is over, Voltare will join your team automatically.

Chapter 2 Chaotic Recruitment List

Arycelle

  • Class: Archer.

During the battle at Xeod Moors, she will join you as a guest. If you keep her alive through all the battles up to Tynemouth Hill, she will join the party for good.

Bayin

  • Class: Wizard.

You need to choose to keep Bayin alive during the battle at Qadriga Fortress and then accept him as guest.

Folcurt

  • Class: Wizard.

Accept Folcurt as a guest at Krysaro and keep him alive.

Cistina

  • Class: Valkyrie.

You can recruit her at Boed Fortress if your party had Folcurt and Bayin as guests up to that moment.

Xapan

  • Class: Berserker.

You need to be on the Lawful route, then choose to keep Xapan alive during the battle at Qadriga Fortress if you wish to recruit him.

Chapter 3 Lawful Recruitment List

Jeunan

  • Class: Dragoon.

Once the battle in Brigantys is over, select a second choice during a questionnaire to recruit him.

Ravness

  • Class: Valkyrie.

You need to choose to keep Ravness alive during the battle at Balmamusa, then accept her as a guest at the Bahanna Highlands battle.

Vyce

  • Class: Ranger.

Once you recapture the Almorica Castle, Vyce will join your party automatically.

Arycelle

  • Class: Archer.

Once you recapture the Almorica Castle, Arycelle will join your party automatically if you let her live prior to this battle.

Mirdyn

  • Class: White Knight.

Once you recapture the Almorica Castle, Mirdyn will join your party automatically.

Gildas

  • Class: White Knight.

Once you recapture the Almorica Castle, Gildas will join your party automatically.

Hobyrim

  • Class: Swordmaster.

You need to choose to keep Hobyrim alive during the battle against Ozma at the Arkhaiopolis of Rhime.

Chapter 3 Neutral Recruitment List

Phaesta

  • Class: Valkyrie.

You need to choose to keep Phaesta alive during the optional battle at Qadriga Fortress.

Chamos

  • Class: Wizard.

You need to choose to keep Chamos alive during the optional battle at Qadriga Fortress.

Tamuz

  • Class: Knight.

You need to choose to keep Tamuz alive during the optional battle at Qadriga Fortress.

Oelias

  • Class: Cleric.

You need to choose to keep Oelias alive during the battle at Port Asyton.

Dievold

  • Class: Terror Knight.

You need to choose to keep Dievold alive during the battle at Port Asyton.

Chapter 4 Recruitment List

Olivya

  • Class: Cleric.

Once the battles at Brigantys Castle are over, she will join your team automatically.

Cressida

  • Class: Necromancer.

Make sure that you’re on Chaos Route and that your Chaos Frame is 50 or higher. Then, follow the story. Once the time comes, you will need to resurrect her.

Sherri

  • Class: Witch.

You need to choose to keep Sherri alive during the battle at Hagia Banhamuba. She will escape first, but then you can recruit her at Balmamusa when it’s raining.

Ceria

  • Class: Valkyrie.

You need to be on Neutral Route and join the Pirates of Qadriga Fortress quest. When Ehlrig, the cleric asks you a question, reply: “Will you aid us?”, and both Ceria and Ehlrig will join you.

Ozma

  • Class: Knight Commander.

Make sure that you’re on Lawful Route and keep Ozma alive after you defeat Volaq and the healers at the optional battle in Krysaro.

Catiua

  • Class: Princess.

You need to choose to keep Catiua alive at Barnicia Castle, and later she will join you at Phidoh Castle.

Azelstan

  • Class: Buccaneer.

Complete both optional battles at Port Omish and another battle at the Pirate’s Graveyard, and Azelstan will join you.

Lindl

  • Class: Fusilier.

You need to choose to keep Lindl alive at the battle in Grimsby for him to join you.

Ocionne

  • Class: Beast Tamer.

Make sure that you’re on Lawful Route and keep Ocionne alive at the battle in Lhazan Fortress.

Ganpp

  • Class: Beast Tamer.

You need to choose to keep Ganpp alive at the battle in Grimsby for him to join you, including his griffins Obda and Berda.

Rudlum

  • Class: Warlock.

You need to choose to keep Rudlum alive during the battle in the Palace of the Dead.

CODA Recruitment List

Iuria

  • Class: Songstress.

Complete the battle at the Pirate’s Graveyard after reading the topic about Iuria in CODA Episode One.

Warren

  • Class: Astromancer.

You need to choose to keep Warren alive during the battle in the Palace of the Dead (Floor 115) in CODA Episode Two.

Lanselot

  • Class: Holy Knight.

You need to choose to keep Lanselot alive during the second battle at Arkhaiopolis of Rhime in CODA Episode Three.
