How to Claim Your Yarn Yoshi Amiibo

Yoshi's Woolly World is coming out with some awesome new amiibos for the game, but is there any way possible to claim them? Yes there is, and here's how.

Yoshi’s Woolly World looks like an exciting new game that doesn’t lack in being adorable, cute, and challenging. To get us fans even more pumped up about it, Nintendo is releasing a blue, green, and pink yarn Yoshi amiibos that you can buy. Or can you? Since the amiibo hunt is already intense, these specialty amiibos could be harder than expected to acquire. But I have some news that will come in handy if you want to get your hands on one of the adorable figurines.

You Can Purchase Them Now

This is not a typo. If you look on Amazon, you will find that you can pre-order any of the three colors from Japan. The price is around the forty dollar range, which may be too pricy for some, but it is possible to have one. It is worth considering though because these aren’t normal amiibos, so expect the initial price to be higher than the standard twelve to fifteen dollars that you would pay from a store.

Option #2

The European version of this game comes out on June 26, and one of the options for buying the game is the Yoshi’s Woolly World Bundle, which includes the green yarn Yoshi amiibo. The second option is to wait and see if this bundle becomes available in the US. If it does, the likelihood of acquiring the green one is a lot higher than acquiring the other two colors. So if you feel like taking the risk, wait it out until Nintendo provides further information.

Final Thoughts and Suggestions

If you are going to fork over the high price for one of these amiibos, make it the blue or the pink one. They won’t come in the bundle, and will be rarer down the road because of it. Also remember that if these amiibos are too pricey for you, your other amiibos will still work on the game. You can use the Samus amiibo to turn Yoshi into Samus Yoshi, which is pretty awesome. Whatever your decision is, the game itself will only be $50 instead of the $60.

Yoshi’s Woolly World is coming to North America sometime in the fall.
