Because of their defensive capabilities, Steel-type Pokemon tend to be very difficult for opponents to take down. Additionally, many Steel-type Pokemon have special abilities that increase their strength in battle. Steel Pokemon are also the type with the highest Physical Defense, making them great for handling opponents that rely on Physical Attacks.
