This guide lists the best weapons in Apex Legends Mobile, showing their strengths, as well as weaknesses. You will also learn which weapons are most suitable for close, mid, and long range combat, and how much damage they deal to head/body/legs (H/B/L) of the enemies.

Apex Legends Mobile: S-Tier Weapons

Kraber

  • Type: Sniper Rifle
  • Damage (H/B/L): 435/145/116
  • Magazine: 4

Kraber sniper rifle is the highest damage weapon in the game, which also happens to be the most accurate one due to native scope and special ammo.

Its headshot damage is multiplied by 3x, which allows players to insta-kill any enemy, even if they wear a helmet. On top of that, Kraber’s ammo is so strong that it can hit several targets in line, piercing through their bodies.

Kraber is a supply drop weapon, which means that you can find it only in the care packages. The same concerns its ammo, which cannot be found anywhere else.

R-301 Carbine

  • Type: Assault Rifle
  • Damage (H/B/L): 28/14/11
  • Magazine: 36

R-301 has some of the fastest rate of fire in the game due to light rounds that allow bullets to travel really fast. This, as well as fast aim down sights, makes R-301 the best midrange weapon in Apex Legends Mobile.

The rifle itself is very light, which makes it easy to handle with very little recoil. So, even if you shoot in full automatic mode, the weapon stays extremely stable and accurate.

The only improvement that it needs is the magazine size, which is easy to achieve with an additional mag attachment.

VK-47 Flatline

  • Type: Assault Rifle
  • Damage (H/B/L): 38/19/14
  • Magazine: 38

Unlike R-301, which uses light ammo, Flatline utilizes heavy rounds, which results in increased damage per bullet. The best part is that it doesn’t lose in terms of rate of fire to R-301, which makes it an excellent alternative.

The only thing that makes it different is the recoil, which is a bit higher in Flatline, and the bullet travel time is also a bit slower. But with the help of good optics and stock attachments, you can achieve some amazing results with this assault rifle.

A-Tier Weapons

Peacekeeper

  • Type: Shotgun
  • Damage (H/B/L): 185/110/88
  • Magazine: 7

Although Peacekeeper doesn’t have the same damage output as Kraber, it is still one of the most powerful weapons in Apex Legends Mobile.

This weapon is designed for close combat, and at that it simply excels. It also has a pretty decent rate of fire for a shotgun, which can be further enhanced with the help of the bolt attachment. The bullet spread isn’t too wide, either.

It won’t do too well at midrange or long range, even with the assistance of optical enhancements, but other than that Peacekeeper is a real keeper.

Volt

  • Type: Submachine Gun
  • Damage (H/B/L): 24/16/13
  • Magazine: 32

If you need a weapon for close range combat, but you’re not too fond of the shotguns, then Volt is the best next thing.

It has high rate of fire and very low recoil, which allows it to perform extremely well in close quarters. It won’t do too well in midrange combat, but for that you’ve got assault rifles.

Volt uses energy ammo, which is good for quick bursts of damage, but the damage wears off quickly. Still, this is one of the best and easiest to use SMG weapons in the game.

Spitfire

  • Type: Light Machine Gun
  • Damage (H/B/L): 36/18/14
  • Magazine: 60

In case you want something that will do well in both close range and midrange combat, then Spitfire can be a real savior.

It utilizes heavy rounds that provide decent damage and can be powerful enough to take out enemies in the relative distance. The best part about it is that Spitfire has a very low recoil for an LMG, a kind of weapon that rarely remains stable, especially in full automatic mode.

This is another supply drop weapon that can only be found inside care packages.

Sentinel

  • Type: Sniper Rifle
  • Damage (H/B/L): 140/70/63
  • Magazine: 7

Getting such a rare sniper rifle as Kraber can be hard, but you can always find Sentinel instead, which may not have as much damage, bet performs equally well.

What makes Sentinel really great is the unique Amped Up mechanic, increasing its damage output by 25%. This drives up its H/B/L stats to 175/88/79 respectively.

Another cool feature of this rifle is the ability to shoot door handles, resulting in open doors, which can be used as an excellent distraction tactics.

B-Tier Weapons

EVA-8 Auto

  • Type: Shotgun
  • Damage (H/B/L): 99/63/63
  • Magazine: 10

EVA-8 Auto was designed for the use in zero gravity, which explains its unusually high rate of fire for a shotgun.

Since it’s an automatic weapon, it would be useful to have an additional magazine attachment, but alas, there is none available for this weapon in the game.

At least you can use shotgun bolt attachment, which is highly advisable. Although this will make it a great weapon for close range combat, at midrange the spread will be too wide for it to be sufficient enough.

Mastiff

  • Type: Shotgun
  • Damage (H/B/L): 127/104/104
  • Magazine: 8

This semi-auto shotgun has a fantastic damage output, which is preserved in the distance, making it a decent weapon for both close quarters and midrange combat.

Due to a horizontal bullet spread pattern it is highly advisable to shoot the body of an enemy for best results. Although the full reload of the weapon takes almost 7 seconds, it is possible to reload shells between the shots.

If you still wish to increase the reload speed of Mastiff, then use the Dual Shell hop-up to reduce the reload time by 50%.

R-99

  • Type: Submachine Gun
  • Damage (H/B/L): 16/11/9
  • Magazine: 35

R-99 SMG may have the lowest damage output per bullet among all weapons in the game, due to the highest rate of fire it produces extremely high damage per second.

Because of this, the very first thing that players should do is equip it with an additional magazine attachment. If you wish to use it in midrange combat, you will absolutely need to use barrel attachment or the recoil will be immense.

It is still best in close range combat, as the bullet loses its damage power when traveling further on.

L-STAR

  • Type: Light Machine Gun
  • Damage (H/B/L): 36/18/14
  • Magazine: N/A

L-STAR uses energy plasma, and thus does not require any ammo. It can be a fun thing to forget about reload times and such, but this weapon can still overheat, so you need to let it cool down before you can use it again.

In order to reduce the overheat factor it is recommended to shoot in short bursts, and then it will work very well. But beware of the initial recoil, which, unfortunately, cannot be reduced in any way.

This is a very fine alternative weapon for close range, if you suddenly get tired of reloading your weapons all the time.
