How to Relocate in LoTR: Rise to War

Step 1: Unlock Relocate Ability

Not all players can relocate settlements in the beginning of the game. Before you can do this you need to unlock the Relocate ability, which becomes available after:

  • You complete Chapter 10 of the main campaign
  • You achieve 20 points of your Ring Power

When this is done, you need to tap on the Ring Power icon and unlock the Relocate ability from the list.

Step 2: Claim New Territory

You can relocate settlements only to territories that belong to your faction. But you still need to claim the new territory that belongs to your faction using the markers within the fort’s distance.

Here’s how you can mark the new territory:

  1. Find a free area with 3×3 tiles (9 in total)
  2. Tap on the March button
  3. Tap on the blocks you wish to mark
  4. Tap on the Pinned button
  5. Rinse and repeat for the rest of the 3×3 tiles

Once these tiles are marked, you can start the process of relocation.

Step 3: Relocate Your Settlement

Before relocating to the newly marked territory you need to make sure that you meet the following requirements:

  • You have marked a new 3×3 foundation
  • All your armies are on standby
  • The new territory belongs to your faction

If you’ve marked the right territory, then all you need to do is make sure that your commanders are at your home base by tapping on your main fortress and tapping the Summon button.

Once your commanders return, you can start relocating by following these steps:

  1. Tap on the settlement you wish to relocate
  2. Tap on the Build button
  3. Tap on the Relocate box
  4. Confirm by tapping the Relocate button

However, the relocation isn’t free and you will have to pay 500 gems for the procedure, or you can pay using 500 contribution coins in case your faction has reached Level 10.
