Various fan-favorite characters from SpongeBob SquarePants will act as quest-givers in the animated sponge’s latest video game adventure. The Cosmic Shake harkens back to the mascot games of the PS2 and Gamecube era, but in a modern twist, these characters give you a reason to revisit levels — to search for new collectibles. One of which is a set of hot objects.
In the hub of Bikini Bottom, Sandy tasks you with retrieving 5 hot objects for her. And not just any warm object will do: each has to be straight from the prehistoric age.
All 5 Hot Objects Locations in the Prehistoric Kelp Field
There are 5 hot objects to find in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. They are all found in the Preshistoric Kelp Field world.
Hot Object 1 Location

The first hot object is found in the world’s first section, as SpongeBob and Patrick are running from a giant boulder. There will be an alcove to your right as you proceed where the hot object can be seen. Quickly run and grab the collectible, and then keep running since you still need to stay in front of the boulder. Regardless of if you have to restart the section or not, you only have to collect the object the one time.
Hot Object 2 Location

During the Lava Slide section of this world, there is a big life preserver. You have to hop on this and then glide through a boost hoop, finally connecting that with the hook swing maneuver. You have to pull this all off in order to get the next hot object, which is right after the hook.
Hot Object 3 Location

In the Lava Cave, there is a section where you are jumping from one sinking molten rock to another, dodging upward lava streams as you go. The hot object is in the middle of this section.
Hot Object 4 Location

In the very next section, where you’re rolling on the rock down the lava river, there is a ramp off the side you must take to get this collectible. You need to time your jump so that you cross when the lava stream is coming up. If you do this correctly, you’ll be propelled across to where the hot object is and pick it up immediately.
Hot Object 5 Location

The final hot object can be found in this same section. Not long after you find the fourth collectible, there is an area where a lava stream propels you up in the middle. You can avoid it normally, but don’t this time since riding it to the top will bring you to the final hot object.
