Wild Hearts: How to Play Now in Early Access

Wondering how to play Wild Hearts in Early Access? Here's what you need to know about the monster hunting RPG.

Wild Hearts, the monster hunting co-op game from EA and KOEI Tecmo, has released into Early Access. Set in the feudal Japan inspired land of Azuma, you can now start your hunt, with a few caveats. Here's how to play Wild Hearts now in Early Access.

How to Play Wild Hearts Early

Wild Hearts was released into Early Access for EA Play subscribers and Game Pass Ultimate members on PC and Xbox on February 13, 2023. EA Play subscribers get discounts on digital purchases, access to a games library, and unique perks, one of them being able to play Wild Hearts early.

Early access is available on both PC and consoles, and you can play up to 10 hours of Wild Hearts for free through EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate (which includes EA Play); you don't have to purchase Wild Hearts to gain access. EA Play Pro members can play Wild Hearts until they unsubscribe.

You'll get to experience the opening section of the game, learn the basics, and head to the village of Minato, the main base of operations in Azuma. If you decide to purchase Wild Hearts after playing the Early Access trial, your saved data and progress will carry over, letting you continue your game from where you left off.

What is Wild Hearts' Full Release Date?

Wild Hearts will fully release on February 16 for PC at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET/3 p.m. GMT. Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 can play a day later on February 17, with the game releasing at midnight in your respective time zone.

And that's how you play Wild Hearts in Early Access via EA Play. While it will not be released on PS4 or Xbox One, Wild Hearts is cross-platform, so you can play with your friend, too. For guides, tips, and more, head over to our Wild Hearts guides page.
