Rockstar's ridiculously massive and lucrative Grand Theft Auto Online has just received a brand new update for the Los Santos Drug Wars storyline. Titled The Last Dose, this patch update packs five new story missions, extra rewards for online jobs, and a smattering of new cars and clothing options.

Following on from the events of The First Dose, this latest storyline will see you reunite with Dax and the Fooliganz as you combat opposing gangs who are looking to snuff you out from the psychedelics trade. Starting at the Freakshop, you'll meet up with Ron Jakowski and set into motion a plan to eliminate the competition once and for all.

Along the way, the ever-greedy Dr. Isiah Friedlander will attempt to stop you from strengthening the Fooliganz by hiring his own mercenaries to stomp out his rivals. If you still have lingering anger for his mistreatment of Michael De Santa in the main campaign of Grand Theft Auto 5, now is your chance to exact revenge.

As well as the thrilling conclusion to the Drug Wars storyline, The Last Dose includes brand-new vehicles, such as the Ocelot Virtue Supercar and the Willard Eudora. While the Ocelot will be available in perpetuity, the Eudora is a limited-edition vehicle that will disappear on March 29, 2023.

Lastly, some new branded cardigans and wide pants are available in the Tops and Designer Jeans sections of all retail clothing stores in GTA Online. One design includes flames for that ultra-90s look, but you'll also find new ski masks and canvas shoes to adorn your character with. You'll be able to purchase these with all of the extra cash you'll receive from the new story missions, which are being given a boost. You can earn 1.5x the amount of GTA$ for any Fooligan jobs and double the supplies for all Lab Resupply missions.

You can get the complete rundown of this update over on Rockstar's official website. Los Santos Drug Wars: The Last Dose is available in GTA Online starting today on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Genshin Impact 1.6 Releases in June, but Inazuma is Still a Ways Off https://www.gameskinny.com/aajx6/genshin-impact-16-releases-in-june-but-inazuma-is-still-a-ways-off https://www.gameskinny.com/aajx6/genshin-impact-16-releases-in-june-but-inazuma-is-still-a-ways-off Fri, 28 May 2021 12:47:44 -0400 Josh Broadwell

miHoYo announced the Genshin Impact 1.6 release date and some new details, including the first playable Inazuma character and a new mini-region to explore.

Genshin Impact 1.6 releases June 9 and adds Kaedehara Kazuha as the new five-star character. He's an Anemo sword wielder specializing in plunge attacks and creating Swirl reactions, and as always he'll bring his own Archon Quest.

There's also a new set of outfits you can buy for Jean and Barbara, though these cost real-world money.

The Kazuha Archon Quest revolves around figuring out a way to sneak into the Inazuma region with Beidou and her pirate fleet, which means we'll have to wait until Genshin 1.7 to finally see the new region.

The other new story quest is about Klee, coinciding with the Klee banner rerun. A strange being called the Dodo-King confronts Klee and plans on stealing her precious Dodoco. Off you go to Dodoland, a new archipelago region, to try and save Klee's friend.

A new enemy called the Maguu Kenki lives in the region, and you'll use its parts for Kazuha's Ascension materials.

Finally is a set of updates to the Serenitea Pot, letting you invite other characters to the Realm Within so you can raise friendship levels with them.

The Last of Us 2 PS5 Patch Adds Boosted Framerate Target https://www.gameskinny.com/jm70t/the-last-of-us-2-ps5-patch-adds-boosted-framerate-target https://www.gameskinny.com/jm70t/the-last-of-us-2-ps5-patch-adds-boosted-framerate-target Wed, 19 May 2021 12:42:22 -0400 Josh Broadwell

The Last of Us 2 PS5 patch is live now, Naughty Dog announced in a new PlayStation Blog post.

It adds a new framerate target of 60fps, but you'll need the game installed on your PS5 for it to work. The TLOU 2 PS5 patch won't work if you've got it installed on an external hard drive and, obviously, won't work if it's on your PS4.

The patch adds a new option under the game's display menu, where you can choose to target 30fps or target 60fps. This is in addition to the already available improvements on PS5, including the usual faster load times and such.

As of now, that's all Naughty Dog is doing for The Last of Us 2 on PS5 and with PS5 in general, but the blog post closes with a tease of more Naughty Dog PS5 games to come.

It reads:

The team has been digging into the PS5 hardware and the possibilities it unlocks since launch last year and we’re excited about what the future holds. This patch is just the first step of working on the PS5. We’ll let you know when we’ve got more news to share!

Remnant: From the Ashes Next-Gen Upgrade Out for PS5, Xbox Series X|S https://www.gameskinny.com/ffpro/remnant-from-the-ashes-next-gen-upgrade-out-for-ps5-xbox-series-xs https://www.gameskinny.com/ffpro/remnant-from-the-ashes-next-gen-upgrade-out-for-ps5-xbox-series-xs Thu, 06 May 2021 19:25:50 -0400 Jonathan Moore

Remnant: From the Ashes will be joining the ranks of last-gen games that have received updates and upgrades for Sony and Microsoft's next-gen systems. Developer Gunfire Games and publisher Perfect World Entertainment have announced that the Soulslike shooter has been given a slight overhaul.

The upgrades, available now (May 13, 2021) for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S aren't as extensive as some for other games, such as Rebellion's Zombie Army 4: Dead War and 4A Games' Metro Exodus, for example, but they will give the game a new coat of paint and help it sustain a higher, more constant frame rate.

According to the information released on the official Remnant website, the next-gen upgrades include the addition of fidelity and performance modes for PS5 and Series X, where Remnant will be able to run at 4K 30fps. PlayStation 5 and Series X will also be able to run the game in performance mode, hitting 1080p 60fps. This latter option is the only available option for Series S players.

Remnant: From the Ashes is also now available on Xbox Game Pass for PC. PC and Xbox players will be able to team up and take on The Root via crossplay.

It's great that Remnant has received these upgrades since frames in some of the game's denser areas, such as Corsus, can chug along in the PS4 version. Considering much of survival is reliant on well-timed dodging and evasion alongside methodical gunplay, the increased frames will make Remnant even better.

Remnant: From the Ashes launched in 2019, and we called it a "Left-4-Souls" shooter, one that combines challenge with "intuitive fighting." It's surprisingly fun and well worth looking into for any fan of shooters and From Software's venerable fantasy series. The game was recently a complimentary game on PlayStation Plus.

Latest Eville Trailer Reveals All New Side-Quests https://www.gameskinny.com/03wph/latest-eville-trailer-reveals-all-new-side-quests https://www.gameskinny.com/03wph/latest-eville-trailer-reveals-all-new-side-quests Fri, 23 Apr 2021 14:05:40 -0400 David Carcasole

Developer VestGames has released a new trailer for their social deduction game Eville, which is set to release in Steam Early Access in early 2021 (so sometime soon). The update 0.35 trailer reveals a massive patch with all-new side quests (11 in total), gameplay changes, and a slew of bug fixes.

The more than 3-minute video below shows portions of the quests in action and explains quest rewards, how they affect the order and chaos mechanics, and what quest events are, among other things.

Eville seems to be really ramping up in terms of its development since this is the second large update reveal just this month. This update specifically features the addition of 11 new side-quests, with more planned to be added ahead of release. It also features certain changes to the gameplay, such as the removal of the Axe Murderer, a new corpse reporting system, and an overhaul to the UI.

Eville is still currently in closed beta. We got a sneak peek into the beta and some of the quests on offer. At the time, Josh Broadwell said "Eville is already highly polished, much more so than I'd expect from an early alpha build. The unique classes and skills add a surprising amount of variation in each game, and the deduction element, so far, makes for one of the most enjoyable mystery experiences I've encountered in games."

Stay tuned for more on Eville as it becomes available. You can wishlist the game over on Steam now

Temtem's Latest Adventure Sets Off For Cipanku Island https://www.gameskinny.com/ok68g/temtems-latest-adventure-sets-off-for-cipanku-island https://www.gameskinny.com/ok68g/temtems-latest-adventure-sets-off-for-cipanku-island Tue, 13 Apr 2021 15:39:18 -0400 David Carcasole

Pokemon-inspired MMO Temtem has just gotten its biggest update yet, with the all-new Cipanku Island for players to explore. This "electric/digital-themed island" features a mixture of "tradition and technology," with new group activities, traversal methods, and, of course, new Temtem to catch and tame.

A PlayStation Blog post outlines what fans can expect, and it gives details on all of the new additions.

The new Temtem's are Digital and Mythical, both of which can be found on Cipanku Island. Digital tems can be found and caught by a single tamer, but Mythical tems will require a whole team of tamers in a group activity, called Lairs, for up to five players.

The post also mentions that fast travel is coming to the world of TemTem alongside the addition of Cipanku. There will be "many different hotspots across the Archipelago," and players will need to pay to use them, yet the price for each jump wasn't shared in the post. It was noted that "teleports to any Narwhal airport are free, though."

There are also additional traversal elements being added in, such as the Crystal Skates returning in response to player feedback. The update is available to download for free through the Humble Store, Steam, and the PlayStation Store.

EA has announced a slew of new features coming in a free content update for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The news comes via a blog post on perhaps Star Wars' most sacred day, May the 4th, better known as Star Wars Day.

The update is available now across all platforms and introduces a new hub area, game modes, new game plus (called New Journey +), and a host of new cosmetic rewards.

Meditation Training

First up we have the inclusion of Meditation Training, which is broken up into two sub-modes:

Combat Challenges

These challenge rooms will see you traversing multiple planets, fighting a plethora of enemies across numerous waves. They're aimed for the experienced players who have reached the end-game and have maxed out their skills. Unlocking stars for each challenge also rewards new BD-1 customizable options.

You can see those over at the official announcement linked at the top of this article.

Battle Grid

This is a sandbox mode in which players will be able to customize battles to their liking by choosing enemy variations, difficulty settings, and various other modifiers.

New Journey +

This mode allows players to experience the Jedi Fallen Order adventure again  right from the beginning  with all their upgrades, unlocks, and the ability to unlock chests or collectibles they may have missed in their first playthrough.

There's also an array of unique customization options for this mode which consist of:

  • A Call Kestis Inquisitor uniform
  • Protection and Defence I & II lightsaber parts
  • Red kyber crystal for your lightsaber

Other New Additions

Alongside all of this, there's also been some quality of life improvements added to enhance the experience:

  • Quick time events can now be skipped
  • You can turn off the option to hold the climb button, as well as with interactions
  • A variety of text scaling options

This is on top of a range of bug fixes and tweaks that have been made to the game, which you can see below via the official announcement:

Bug Fixes and Tweaks
  • Improved transitions between parry and block animations
  • The Bog Rats on Bogano were sometimes floating. They should now be more grounded
  • Improved the transitions into and out of jumping and double jumping
  • Fixed the issue where Cal could get stuck in an endless falling loop during air attacks
  • Fixed the issue that would prevent Cal from progressing his journey when a Bounty Hunter would show up
  • Improved overall responsiveness of gameplay and the reliability of actions based on player feedback

Be sure to check out our Fallen Order review, in which we said that, "Despite some technical and pacing issues, the final product is still the best Star Wars game we’ve seen for years. It’s particularly impressive, given the current gaming landscape, where live service titles are more prevalent than ever, and real singleplayer epics are falling by the wayside."

PUBG Corp. Confirms PUBG Map Remasters Are Inbound https://www.gameskinny.com/r5jlc/pubg-corp-confirms-pubg-map-remasters-are-inbound https://www.gameskinny.com/r5jlc/pubg-corp-confirms-pubg-map-remasters-are-inbound Fri, 08 Mar 2019 10:02:15 -0500 QuintLyn

Last week, a member of the PUBG subreddit shared a series of images detailing changes to the battle royale's first map, Erangel. The data-mined  images, which weren't confirmed by the PUBG team at the time, showed that the island would see increased Tier 3 loot locations and elevation changes.

Now, some of the changes seen in those images have been confirmed by PUBG Corp. In fact, according to a post on the game's website, the uncovered changes to Erangel are just the beginning. The company is currently working to improve all of the game's maps as well as loot balancing.

The PUBG team plans to test the changes players have uncovered soon, although just how soon hasn't been specified as of this writing.

The company does note that since these images have leaked, the final changes won't likely fully represent everything the team is working on. That said, the company does believe what is in the works is fairly solidified, as the company added that it is excited for players to see what it has planned in its entirety.

When testing on the upcoming changes does begin, PUBG Corp. plans to do so in conjunction with the PUBG community, using feedback to make the map as engaging as possible.

Of course, it's important to note that when developers tell players that leaked images are a "snapshot" of what's being worked on, it means that there is probably more that players haven't managed to get their hands on, and how much more is often questionable.

Taking that into account, it may mean that the leaked change plans may not even make it to live testing. The final product could be something very different.

What prompted these changes, other than making things more fun, wasn't stated in PUBG Corp's post.

But considering the game now has quite a bit more competition than it did when it first launched, and that a large portion of that competition is free-to-play, it's not surprising the development team would be looking to make their game more appealing to players again.

Fallout 76's New UltraWide Support is Not Up to Snuff https://www.gameskinny.com/aot8y/fallout-76s-new-ultrawide-support-is-not-up-to-snuff https://www.gameskinny.com/aot8y/fallout-76s-new-ultrawide-support-is-not-up-to-snuff Wed, 12 Dec 2018 15:00:42 -0500 William R. Parks

Yesterday, Bethesda rolled out a new Fallout 76 patch with a number of improvements, including some much-requested features for those playing the multiplayer RPG on PC.

One of the additions is resolution support for Vault Dwellers using UltraWide monitors, and, unfortunately, some players are finding that its implementation leaves a lot to be desired.

Since the release of Fallout 76's new patch, players have taken to Reddit to discuss the newly added 21:9 resolution support. The general consensus from these conversations suggests that Bethesda's "fix" for UltraWide monitors amounts to little more than an edit to the game's .ini file.

With Fallout 4, another Bethesda title that did not support UltraWide monitors, players found that they could alter the .ini file to tweak in-game display settings, including field of view values and resolution.

While this made it possible to play at 21:9, the game's UI did not scale accordingly, causing menus and text to appear stretched and enlarged.

This is exactly the effect players are seeing with the UltraWide support offered by the latest update, and, after a month of indications that this feature was in progress, some are wondering how Bethesda could have implemented something of such poor quality.

This frustration is being further exacerbated by an unofficial mod to Fallout 76, which provides what many consider a higher quality UltraWide experience. This mod was, of course, created without access to Fallout 76's source code, and it has been available since the game's B.E.T.A.

Thus, it has taken Bethesda a month to release a 21:9 resolution experience that is less desirable than an unofficial mod.

While some players may be scratching their heads, trying to determine how that could happen, it is likely that the feature was simply never given any real priority within the company.

While this may seem like a minor issue, Bethesda's every move is currently under heavy scrutiny following the myriad of controversies that have surrounded Fallout 76's release. If the company hopes to ever return to the status it held prior to the game's troubled launch, this fact needs to be acknowledged and handled with care.

The ongoing conversation about the game's UltraWide support can be found on Reddit.

Monster Hunter: World's First Major Expansion Revealed https://www.gameskinny.com/1itkw/monster-hunter-worlds-first-major-expansion-revealed https://www.gameskinny.com/1itkw/monster-hunter-worlds-first-major-expansion-revealed Mon, 10 Dec 2018 14:46:22 -0500 William R. Parks

Since its release in January, Monster Hunter: World has kept fans engaged with new monsters, frequent crossovers, and seasonal events. Now, Capcom has revealed its plan to continue to keep players slaying monsters and crafting gear: a "massive expansion" called Iceborne.

Announced through a trailer at this morning's Special Developer Update, the events of Monster Hunter: World: Iceborne will take place just after those that transpired in the base game. Additionally, the expansion will include new quests, monsters, locations, equipment, and more, and the trailer also confirms that Monster Hunter: World will be required in order to play Iceborne.

While the news of a significant content update is likely to be exciting for many players, Iceborne is still a ways off. The trailer indicates that release is currently scheduled for autumn 2019, though Capcom has promised more details on the expansion, including its price tag, in the spring.

Little more than what has been outlined can be gleaned from today's trailer, which primarily depicts Rathlos flying out across a vast body of water. That said, the title of the expansion certainly suggests that a frigid biome is in the future for monster hunters the world over.

Capcom is no stranger to post-launch support for its Monster Hunter titles. As stated, they have continually added new, free content to Monster Hunter: World, and the previous entries in the franchise all have enhanced and expanded releases.

These "Ultimate" versions often include many of the features that are to come with Monster Hunter: World: Iceborne, however, there is one common component that is not directly addressed in today's trailer: "G Rank."

When a Monster Hunter title is released, there are often two difficulty settings for each monster, Low Rank and High Rank. G Rank is typically a post-launch addition, and it gives players a third, and more difficult, version of the game's beasts. In G Rank, monsters may hit harder, have more HP, and have more attacks in their arsenal (which they will execute more frequently).

Now that players have throughly explored what Monster Hunter: World has to offer, and others are getting a chance to try the game for free, the addition of G Rank has been a frequent topic of conversation amongst the community. It is possible that fans may still see G Rank come with Icebore, however, it does seem that Capcom may be currently focused on supporting Monster Hunter: World with new content, rather than reworking the game's older monster.

The new weapons include everything from pistols to rocket launchers and number in excess of 50. Some of the more notable additions are the MP40 for the NLF, a 200-round belt-fed RPD, and a Fougasse mine trap for the North Vietnamese.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is the sequel to 2013's Rising Storm. In addition to being set in the Vietnam war, the game offers 64-player battles between military and guerrilla forces using authentic vehicles and weapons.

Everything We Know About Fortnite Season 3 So Far https://www.gameskinny.com/8uu2g/everything-we-know-about-fortnite-season-3-so-far https://www.gameskinny.com/8uu2g/everything-we-know-about-fortnite-season-3-so-far Thu, 01 Mar 2018 22:54:16 -0500 Andrew Krajewski

Fortnite's 3.0.0 patch launched recently and with it, Season 3. The new season brings a fair amount of content for players to enjoy so lets take a quick peek at what to expect.

Gameplay Changes

New gameplay elements often lead to a new meta and that's no different this time around, so take notes.

  • Pump shotguns have been nerfed. Players used to be able to fire, swap from one pump shotgun for another, and fire again, which was faster than waiting for the second shot in the first shotgun. This is no longer the case so it might be time to put the pump shotgun away. Time to use those tactical SMGs and pistols that haven't gotten any love because of the shotgun meta.
  • Hand Cannons are a thing now. These bad-ass pistols require heavy ammo and do tons of damage. They're a great way to open up a fight.
Other Fun Stuff
  • We have new tier rewards to chase after. While the costume theme in the previous battle pass was knights, now you can level up to unlock different astronaut costumes! There are 76 items to get with the battle pass this time around, 30 more than last season.
  • There are more Easter eggs in the game. The llama introduced with the big map update was a fun little attraction to visit during a game. Now, we also can visit a crab and a fox! Check out our guide to finding them here.
  • Save the World mode has a hoverboard and a new hero available. So, if it becomes free in the future, as expected, it'll be cool to check out.
Quality of Life Updates

Building structures has received several quality of life improvements that are all noteworthy and should help you win in Battle Royale.

  • An improvement that I never expected, but was certainly happy about, is the ability to build through trees! I can't count how many times I've been trying to build up a hill to escape the encroaching storm only to suddenly fall down my ramp and die because the leaves of a tree interfered with my building. Now I can build through trees without missing a beat! Watch out though trees don't count as structural support and your ramps will still collapse if shot down without the proper supports built.
  • We can now build endlessly rather than having to hit the fire button for every single piece we place. This should definitely make large ramps, walls, and platforms much faster and easier to build.
  • Going hand-in-hand with the "turbo building" mentioned above is the auto switch between materials. Now, materials will switch automatically when we run out while building. We don't have to worry as much about being ambushed without any material selected. We can always have a wall ready to go!
  • Console players can now set their frame rates at 60 FPS. For all the tech and performance junkies out their now you can have a better experience on console.
  • Colorblind mode has been added. Epic noted they would love feedback to help improve this feature, and I'm sure they would love ideas for other accessibility features they could put in their game as well.

Splatoon 2 Update Coming End of February https://www.gameskinny.com/huuz3/splatoon-2-update-coming-end-of-february https://www.gameskinny.com/huuz3/splatoon-2-update-coming-end-of-february Tue, 23 Jan 2018 13:59:30 -0500 wlkrjesse

Splatoon 2 is the gift that keeps on giving. Nintendo News reports that at the end of February, we're getting a new patch for Splatoon 2, promising "a number of new features and gameplay tweaks."

While overall details on the patch are slim, this news comes straight from the official twitter and is far from shocking. Splatoon is one of Nintendo's newest IP's and is doing incredible things. Splatoon 2 is massive and on the Switch, which is equally as massive if not more so, having sold 1.5 million units in December of 2017 alone.

Splatoon 2's success is a true testament to both "right place, right time" and to the staying power of the Switch. The series started on the Wii U (a console considered to be a failure) but now has gone on to become a huge money maker for Nintendo. The series just needed to be on the right console, and judging from the numbers, with 1.53 million copies sold as of December 2017, it seems to have found its place.

After Black Desert Online’s latest patch, Pearl Abyss announced their newest world boss, Vell, for the popular MMORPG on their official website. Players will be able to take on Vell for the first time on January 28th at 12:00 PM for both NA and EU servers.

Vell will be the first boss that is fought on water, creating a whole new experience for all players. To participate in the fight, you’ll need a sailboat with cannons and need to be at least level 50. For players who don’t own a sailboat yet, a weekly quest series located in Velia was added in the latest patch to give players access to an Old Bartali Sailboat. This boat is slower than a regular sailboat and can’t be repaired, but it's rather easy to obtain and still gets the job done. For more information on the weekly quest and Vell himself, take a look at the Black Desert Online official post.

Four New Digimon Revealed for Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory https://www.gameskinny.com/gv8ht/four-new-digimon-revealed-for-digimon-story-cyber-sleuth-hackers-memory https://www.gameskinny.com/gv8ht/four-new-digimon-revealed-for-digimon-story-cyber-sleuth-hackers-memory Tue, 09 Jan 2018 12:54:39 -0500 Erroll Maas

After a successful 2018 retweet campaign, Bandai Namco has revealed four new Digimon which will be added to Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory through a free update.

The new Digimon are Ryudamon (Rookie level); Ginryumon (Champion level); Hisyaryumon (Ultimate level); and Owryumon (Megal level). These Digimon are all part of the same digivolution line and  were previously only obtainable in the Digimon Battle and Digimon Masters MMORPGs.

What's notable about the Mega-level Digimon Owryumon is that it can combine with fellow Mega-level Digimon Alphamon (pictured above) to become Alphamon Ouryuken. Although it has not yet been confirmed whether Alphamon will be obtainable, it was previously obtainable in the first Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth video game, and a fifth new Digimon has also been announced to be added through a free update (but it has not yet been revealed). Alphamon Ouryuken was also only previously obtainable in Digimon Masters.

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory released in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on December 14, 2017, and will release in North America and Europe on January 19,2018. The PlayStation Vita version released in the West will be digital only. Those who pre-order either version of the game will receive exclusive Digimon and costumes.

PUBG Aim Acceleration Gets A Fix in New Patch https://www.gameskinny.com/08uhs/pubg-aim-acceleration-gets-a-fix-in-new-patch https://www.gameskinny.com/08uhs/pubg-aim-acceleration-gets-a-fix-in-new-patch Mon, 08 Jan 2018 13:04:45 -0500 Josh Broadwell

Bluehole's PUBG took the world by storm and continues to work its way into people's gaming lives with its release on Xbox One's Game Preview program. But it's been a far-from-perfect transition to home console, with users pointing to multiple crash issues and problems with mechanics as close to game-breaking, with aim acceleration the most damning of the bunch. For the uninitiated, aim acceleration in PUBG drastically affects crosshair movement speed, and for many experienced players, it can cause quite a problem.

Players' pleas have been heard, though, since Bluehole included an aim acceleration slider in its latest PUBG patch. Now, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds noobs and grizzled shooter veterans alike can, it's hoped, adjust the sensitivity to a level that meets their needs by tweaking the new slider in the in-game options menu.

The update is now live for all Xbox One players. Below are the full patch notes:

Gameplay

  • Aim acceleration can now be adjusted by players via in-game option
  • Player weapon damage has been increased against vehicles. We will continue to monitor player feedback and telemetry and make further balancing adjustments as needed in future updates
  • FPP Solo matchmaking queue will be made available for NA / EU / Oceanic servers. We will open other modes within those regions as concurrency allows
  • Fixed an issue that caused indoor lighting and shadows to appear too dark and blueish
  • Analog stick acceleration added while exiting the plane and while parachuting

Optimization

  • PhysX performance enhancements
  • Server FPS slightly increased
  • Client FPS slightly increased
  • Some VFX received slight optimizations

Option

  • Music on/off option added

Bug Fixes

  • Addressed a number of known crashes
  • Fixed a UI issue that occurred when multiple players attempted to loot from the same source

Lords Mobile Launches Largest Update Since Release with the Familiar Update https://www.gameskinny.com/nwy2j/lords-mobile-launches-largest-update-since-release-with-the-familiar-update https://www.gameskinny.com/nwy2j/lords-mobile-launches-largest-update-since-release-with-the-familiar-update Fri, 08 Dec 2017 16:09:53 -0500 It's Gavin!

Are you a fan of Lords Mobile AND capturing animals to attack your enemies? Then the Familiar Update is right up your alley. Boasting itself as the largest update since its release, the Familiar Update lets players train the mobs they used to grind for gold into Familiars they can bring to combat. However, this can only be done with a few steps first.

If you'd like to start training Familiars, you will need to construct a Spring, Mystic Spire, Monsterhold, and Gym. Springs will collect Anima, the resource specifically for Familiars. The Mystic Spire lets you create a Pact for a Familiar or a skillstone to boost your familiars. These Pacts, when opened, will give players a chance to earn crystals, familiars, or runes (think of them like a lootbox). With a familiar, you can then level them up in the Monsterhold or train them with your heroes in the Gym. With these monsters on your side, you can deal heavy damage to other armies.

According to IGG Games COO Kevin Xun:

“Lords Mobile is no ordinary war strategy game, but war... war never changes. We found inspiration in Fallout's famous tagline while brainstorming, and decided to shake things up by adding the Familiar system. With a Familiar’s unique skills by their side, players will have more options on the battlefield. We hope that all 80 million players who enjoy Lords Mobile will be blown away by our newest update!”

Will you get back into Lords Mobile with this new update? Does it remind you of other monster-based games like Pokemon? Let us know in the comments below.

Battlefront 2's 1.04 Update Grants Anticipated Features for Players https://www.gameskinny.com/x0d0r/battlefront-2s-104-update-grants-anticipated-features-for-players https://www.gameskinny.com/x0d0r/battlefront-2s-104-update-grants-anticipated-features-for-players Tue, 05 Dec 2017 11:19:02 -0500 bazookajo94

Battlefront II released its recent update 1.04 last week for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, fixing development issues relating to gameplay and user compatibility.

The update fixes bugs surrounding some of the game's largest maps and introduces a new MVP screen after a round to highlight the top scorers.

DICE also addressed some of the grievances players have expressed about rewards for game play. In this patch, the developers increased the amount of credits players receive after a match, with even more added credits for players in top-ranking positions.

In addition, players now receive more crafting items in their Daily Log-in Loot Crates.

With the 1.04 update comes The Last Jedi Season, which starts today and allows players to select between The First Order and The Resistance. Choosing a side separates the rewards granted to players, such as different characters, maps, and vehicles.

Some other fixes in the update include the reductions of points received in certain game modes and reduced damage dealt by certain weapons, along with tweaks made to characters and maps that originally gave unfair advantage to some players. General gameplay mechanics and texture discrepancies were fixed as well. For a full list of the patch notes, see here.

EA also announced that new single-player content will become available December 13th.
