All Underworld Chest Locations in Fortnite

There are chests all over The Underworld. The key is knowing where to look!

The Underworld is a popular landing spot in Fortnite, being one of the new POIs in Chapter 5, Season 2. That means you’ll want to pick up some loot immediately, whether you’re trying to face Hades or other players. Here’s where to find Underworld chests.

Where to Find Chests at The Underworld in Fortnite

Just like any other named location, The Underworld is filled with loot options, more than you’d find at landmark spots. Not only will you find some ground loot, which makes a good quick grab when first arriving, but there are other possible chests to find as well.

You’ll want to try and aim your landing as close to these chests as possible so you can loot up fast and defend yourself. Here are a few spots to check:

All God Chests in The Underworld

  • The northern side of The Underworld, in the lower levels.
  • The eastern side of The Underworld, near the stairs.
  • In the center/western building of The Underworld.
  • On the southern side of The Underworld on the bridge.
  • On the very far west side of The Underworld, outside of the temple.

God Chests have a greater chance to drop high-rarity loot than regular chests do. They work closer to Rare Chests but are more geared toward dropping those God Abilities like Hades’ Whip or Zeus’ Thunderbolt. Since the abilities are absent during the Avatar Elements event, they are more for finding higher-rarity weapons. You can find items of Epic rarities or, if you’re lucky, Mythics.

All Chests in The Underworld

There are regular chests scattered all over The Underworld. You may not find them all in the same place every match since they all have a chance to spawn. This means they’ll likely be different in each match. The best way to find them is to listen closely to the chime noise of nearby chests. Or turn on your on-screen noise detections to see a chest icon when you get within the radius of it.

I have most luck finding chests in the lower levels of the temple, specifically in the areas underneath the Hades boss fight. However, you’ll have to be fast to loot them if there are other players landing there too. These chests will always give you at least one weapon of random rarity, Gold Bars, ammo, and possibly some healing.

It’s essential to look around the whole area to find possible chests. Listen closely for the noise and shiny glimmer of the chests. You may have to break through some walls to get there, but you’ll want to loot some as quickly as possible to gear up and defend yourself.
